The Rams are signing WR Allen Robinson to a 3-year, $46.5 million deal. It's a particularly surprising move considering the money. The Rams obviously return Cooper Kupp, get Robert Woods back from his ACL tear and retain Van Jefferson. There had also been reports of the team being interested in re-signing Odell Beckham Jr. (whose Super Bowl ACL tear makes it unlikely that he begins the season on time). The investment in Robinson clearly points to the team believing the veteran wideout will rebound from his 2021 performance. We'll see whether it also indicates concern for Woods' recovery or means that Jefferson's role will shrink. Robinson could have landed in better situations for his target volume, but Matthew Stafford will easily be the best QB he has played with. Robinson has been going low in WR4 range of early best-ball drafts and remains a solid-to-good shot to take if he continues to go in that range.

Citing team sources, league insider Adam Caplan said on the Inside The Birds podcast that the Bears “felt” Allen Robinson “lost his long speed” last year. It's an interesting nugget, although it's clear the Bears' old ragime (led by HC Matt Nagy and GM Ryan Pace) wasn't the best at evaluating talent. Caplan also said Chicago planned to move Robinson more into the slot in 2021 — but they failed to find anyone to take his place outside. The former Jag still played 31.6% of his snaps in the slot, up from 25.4% in 2020. A lingering hamstring injury and an inability to mesh with the QBs led to an ugly 38-410-1 line in 12 games. Only 29 (in August), Robinson, a free agent, could be in for a bounce-back year if he finds the right home.

Bears WR Allen Robinson has been activated from the COVID list. He figures to siphon a few targets from WR Darnell Mooney and TE Cole Kmet this weekend, but A-Rob isn't a fantasy option vs. the Giants.

Bears WR Allen Robinson has been placed on the COVID list. He'll likely miss Monday night's game vs. the Vikings. Robinson, of course, has been a major disappointment this season and shouldn't have been in your Week 15 fantasy plans. His absence is a slight upgrade for WR Darnell Mooney and TE Cole Kmet.

Bears WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) isn’t listed on the final Week 14 injury report. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, and will return for Sunday night’s game against the Packers. Robinson was having a disappointing season before this hamstring injury and can’t be trusted in fantasy lineups in his first game back.
