Neither player is worth considering in most 10 or 12-team formats, though they are decent speculative deeper league adds. Expect to see a small bump in responsibility for TE Pat Freiermuth to supplement Johnson's contributions as a lower aDOT player in the Steelers' offense.

It’ll be vital for fantasy managers to stay on top of the injury reports this week in case either play misses Week 2 vs. the Browns. WRs Calvin Austin III (6 catches, 37 yards) and Allen Robinson (5 catches, 64 yards) both saw a lot of involvement by the end of Week 1, so perhaps they’ll be names to keep an eye on for waiver wire consideration.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. A source tells Schefter that it "doesn't sound good." No timetable is given, but high-ankle sprains are generally 4-6 week injuries. So, for now, Kupp owners should brace to be without him until at least Week 15 -- and possibly longer. Kupp leaves behind a massive 30% of Rams targets. Allen Robinson, Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek and Tyler Higbee should all pick up extra volume, but this Rams passing game could be a disaster with Kupp sidelined.

Citing team sources, league insider Adam Caplan said on the Inside The Birds podcast that the Bears “felt” Allen Robinson “lost his long speed” last year. It's an interesting nugget, although it's clear the Bears' old ragime (led by HC Matt Nagy and GM Ryan Pace) wasn't the best at evaluating talent. Caplan also said Chicago planned to move Robinson more into the slot in 2021 — but they failed to find anyone to take his place outside. The former Jag still played 31.6% of his snaps in the slot, up from 25.4% in 2020. A lingering hamstring injury and an inability to mesh with the QBs led to an ugly 38-410-1 line in 12 games. Only 29 (in August), Robinson, a free agent, could be in for a bounce-back year if he finds the right home.
