Sterling Shepard out, Kadarius Toney doubtful for Week 12

Giants WR Sterling Shepard (quad) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Eagles. WR Kadarius Toney (quad) is listed as doubtful. TE Kyle Rudolph (ankle) is also doubtful, while WR John Ross (quad) is questionable. Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton will operate as New York's top 2 WRs this weekend. TE Evan Engram should at least theoretically play a big role in the passing game.

Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reports that Giants TE Evan Engram took part in team drills Monday. That could signal Engram's return from the calf injury he suffered in the final preseason contest. We'll see about his participation once the official injury reports for the week start.

Giants TE Evan Engram has been ruled out for the Week 2 game at Washington. He's still dealing with the calf injury that knocked him out of the final preseason game and kept him sidelined for the opener. There's a chance Engram will be ready for Week 3.

Giants TE Evan Engram (calf) is out for Sunday's opener against the Broncos. He didn't practice all week, so don't expect him back for next Thursday night's game at Washington. TE Kyle Rudolph (foot) was limited in practice all week but isn't listed on the final injury report. So he'll play vs. Denver, but it's unclear how big a role he'll be ready for after missing most of the offseason after foot surgery. Avoid the situation in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

Giants TE Evan Engram is a "long shot" to play against the Broncos on Sunday, a source tells NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Engram has reportedly made progress and avoided short-term IR, so a Week 2 return might be in the cards. But he shouldn't be in your Week 1 fantasy plans. Engram's absence would leave the Giants with TEs Kyle Rudolph and Kaden Smith.
