Basic Stats Preseason Player Analysis

What You Need to Know:

  • Reagor played in just 11 games as a rookie and cracked 70% playing time in a mere 5 contests. A torn ligament in his right thumb cost him 5 early-season games. His playing time dipped over the final 3 games -- to a season low of 28% in the finale.
  • Reagor still led the team in targets (19) over Jalen Hurts’ 3 full outings late in 2020.
  • The role will change at least some. “The only thing that’s pretty much different this year is just me being in the slot,” Reagor told Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer in May. How much he plays there remains to be seen, but expect some increase in slot reps after Reagor spent just 23% of his snaps there in 2020. “It’s not necessarily me being in the slot, but every receiver being interchangeable.”
  • DeVonta Smith arrived with the 10th overall pick in the draft, a selection the Eagles moved up 2 spots that night to make (after dropping back from 6th to 12th in an earlier trade with the Dolphins).
  • Reagor has dealt with poor QB play each of the past 2 years. His final TCU season found him seeing the 4th-worst accuracy rate among all FBS wideouts, according to Pro Football Focus. Last year found Carson Wentz ranking 40th and Jalen Hurts 44th in on-target rate among QBs with 100+ attempts, according to Pro Football Reference.
  • Reagor is a speedster who broke out early in college, seized strong market shares (ahead of his tough final season) and landed with the Eagles in the middle of Round 1.

Draft Sharks Bottom Line:

Opportunity remains a selling point for Reagor. No Eagle topped 79 targets last season, and the only 3 who eclipsed 65 -- Greg Ward, Zach Ertz, Travis Fulgham -- shouldn’t be candidates to lead this year’s squad in the category. DeVonta Smith’s arrival might keep Reagor from becoming the true lead wideout in Philly, but it certainly doesn’t exclude him from grabbing that role -- especially in 2021. Jalen Hurts must improve significantly from his passing performance late in 2020, but the Eagles’ offseason decisions suggest they believe he will.

As long as Reagor can stay healthy, he should be a fine bet from his ADP in WR5 territory.

Eagles WR Jalen Reagor sustained a concussion in the 1st half of Sunday night's game against Washington. It ends a disappointing and injury-riddled rookie campaign that saw Reagor finish with 31 catches, 396 yards and 1 TD in 11 games. He'll have every opportunity to capture a big role in the passing game in 2021.

Eagles WR Jalen Reagor (ankle) practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday, and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’s good to go for Sunday’s game vs. the Cowboys. The rookie has seen 12 targets from QB Jalen Hurts over the past 2 weeks and has some WR4 appeal in this plus matchup.

Eagles WR Jalen Reagor (ankle) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. It gives him a good shot to play against the Cowboys this weekend. Reagor has tallied 12 targets from QB Jalen Hurts over the past 2 weeks but would be tough to trust in season-long fantasy lineups at less than 100%.
