Bears S Jaquan Brisker and CB Kyler Gordon are both off the team's final injury report and set to return in Sunday's game against the Eagles. Each rookie has been out since suffering a concussion in the Week 11 loss at Atlanta. See where both sit in our Week 15 IDP rankings.
Brisker, Gordon out again for Bears
Bears S Jaquan Brisker and CB Kyler Gordon will each miss his 2nd straight game today because of a concussion. DeAndre Houston-Carson looks like the only Chicago safety to trust for IDP use. Elijah Hicks will likely start next to him, with Eddie Jackson out as well. CB Kindle Vildor (ankle) is also inactive vs. the Packers.
Brisker, Gordon out
The Bears have ruled S Jaquan Brisker and CB Kyler Gordon out for Sunday's game against the Jets, both with concussions. DeAndre Houston-Carson looks like the fill-in for Brisker. Kindle Vildor should be the #2 CB, joining CB Jaylon Johnson.
Rookies impressing on defense
According to Kevin Fishbain and Adam Jahns of The Athletic, S Jaquan Brisker and CB Kyler Gordon have "been two of the Bears' best playmakers since their draft selections." The Bears took both in the 1st half of Round 2 of the NFL Draft. Each rookie appears headed for a starting gig. We'd bet on Brisker having the stronger chance at IDP relevance this season.
Bears start draft with CB
The Bears spent their 1st pick of the 2022 NFL Draft on CB Kyler Gordon in Round 2. The former Washington Husky tested just average speed wise but sports decent size at 6'0, 194 pounds and brings intriguing athleticism. Gordon didn't deliver much on the numbers front, with just 2 career INTs and 12 passes defensed.
