Bears S Jaquan Brisker is active for today's game against the Steelers. That's what we expected after he played through the same issue last week (and followed with good practice participation). Chicago did not activate CB Jaylon Johnson or CB Kyler Gordon from IR ahead of the game.

Bears S Jaquan Brisker is active for tonight's game against the Commanders. He popped up on the Wednesday injury report with a hamstring issue and entered tonight questionable. But Brisker said he would be ready to play, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. There's obviously added risk to Brisker with the hammy, but he already sat low in our Week 5 DB rankings. Here's hoping you don't need to use him. An already iffy Bears secondary is also missing CB Jaylon Johnson and S Eddie Jackson, who were each ruled out.

There's risk to playing Smith in IDP lineups. But if he's ready for full playing time, then the numbers should follow. CB Jaylon Johnson (quad) is inactive.

Bears CB Jaylon Johnson and S Tashaun Gipson landed on the COVID list Sunday, knocking them out for Monday night's game against the Vikings. Johnson is easily Chicago's top corner, so the deactivations can only enhance the matchup for Vikings WRs and QB Kirk Cousins.
