LeSean McCoy, RB UNS

1:35pm EST 11/25/16

McCoy questionable for Week 12

Bills RB LeSean McCoy (thumb) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. He was limited in practice all week and was still sporting a "huge wrap" on that injured thumb on Friday, per insider Joe Buscaglia. McCoy is expected to play vs. Jacksonville, but the thumb issue certainly adds some risk. For what it’s worth, HC Rex Ryan said Friday that McCoy should be “ready to get the majority of the reps.” RB Mike Gillislee (hamstring) is out for Week 12, leaving Reggie Bush and Jonathan Williams as McCoy's backups.

The Bills will use a RB rotation vs. New England today and ride the "hot hand," according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Mike Gillislee still figures to get the 1st crack and remains the preferred fantasy play. But he could lose touches to Reggie Bush and/or Jonathan Williams. The Patriots rank 8th in fantasy points allowed to RBs and are giving up just 3.6 yards per carry.

The Bills have listed RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Patriots. He didn't practice all week, and HC Rex Ryan essentially confirmed on Friday that McCoy won't play. (In a very Rex-ish way.) RB Mike Gillislee figures to operate as Buffalo's lead back, with Reggie Bush and Jonathan Williams backing him up. New England ranks 8th in fantasy points allowed to RBs, but volume puts Gillislee on the RB2 map.

Reggie Bush is "considered the favorite" for the Bills' #2 RB job, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak. Bush was the 2nd RB into Saturday's preseason game, losing a yard on his 1 carry. RB Mike Gillislee later suffered a concussion. Buffalo's run-heavy offense figures to grant Bush a handful of carries per game, and we'll see how much passing-down work he steals from LeSean McCoy. But Bush is 31 now and has been ineffective the past 2 seasons. We're not very interested in him in fantasy drafts. Rookie Jonathan Williams could make a push for the #2 job later this year.
