The Bengals grabbed Texas A&M RB Trayveon Williams in Round 6 of the 2019 NFL Draft. Williams turned in an impressive 3-year career for the Aggies, topping 1,000 rushing yards as a freshman and ripping off 1,760 yards and 18 scores on 6.5 yards per carry this past season. He also totaled 66 catches for 561 yards and 1 TD. Williams is a bit undersized at 5’8 and 206 pounds, though, and disappointed with a 15th percentile SPARQ score at the Combine. He’ll likely max out as a change-of-pace back as a pro. He joins a crowded backfield in Cincinnati behind Joe Mixon and Gio Bernard. But it’s worth noting that Bernard is set to hit free agency next offseason.
