The Miami Dolphins selected Mississippi State TE Seydou Traore in Round 5 of the NFL Draft. Traore is a part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway (IPP) program, meaning he won’t count against the Dolphins’ roster. Traore was not invited to the NFL Combine. The Dolphins previously drafted TE Will Kacmarek in Round 3. Traore does offer more receiving upside than Kacmarek. Traore caught 35 passes for 369 yards and 4 TDs in 2025. He broke out in 2022 going 50-655-4 at Arkansas State. Traore only sits at 233 pounds, playing mainly in the slot this past season.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Traore will be a long-term developmental TE for the Dolphins as part of the IPP. He sit and develop without costing the Dolphins a roster spot. That gives Traore a long runway to develop into an NFL player. He likely won’t be relevant in redraft for at least a few seasons.
Dynasty Impact
Unfortunately, Traore still counts against your dynasty roster limit. That means he shouldn’t be selected in rookie drafts and can be left on the waiver wire until we get news about him cracking the Dolphins’ NFL roster.
He remains worth keeping an eye on due to his receiving production and ability. If Traore does find his way into being active down the line, he could offer a bit of fantasy upside.
