Dolphins rookie WR Caleb Douglas has “shot up the depth chart” in training camp, according to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques. His preseason usage backed up the buzz. Douglas played 100% of Miami’s first-team snaps during the starting offense’s lone 14-play drive.

"It's been (his) consistency over time -- he's been really consistent," Hafley said Wednesday. "He's made some flash plays and then he's made some plays where he needs to catch the ball, but he's probably been one of our most consistent guys. He showed up every day. So that's where he deserves to be at this point."

Douglas made the highlight of the night with a one-handed catch on a downfield pass from Malik Willis. Overall, though, the usage is most encouraging here.
Douglas -- along with Malik Washington -- look like the early favorites to lead this Miami offense in snaps and targets. The problem is that the Fins project as one of the lowest-volume passing offenses in the league. (Our current projections have them at just a 47.6% pass rate.)
We'll also see when fellow rookie WR Chris Bell makes his return from an ACL tear.
Douglas remains just a watchlist name outside of deeper fantasy leagues.
