        Amon-Ra St. Brown Sidelined Monday

Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) did not practice on Monday. While he reportedly dodged a serious injury, we're not expecting him to play vs. the Cowboys on Thursday night. WR Kalif Raymond (ankle) and TE Brock Wright (neck) were also sidelined on Monday after missing the Thanksgiving loss to Green Bay.

Lions TE Brock Wright (neck) is out for Thursday's game vs. the Packers. He'd stepped in as Detroit's lead TE with Sam LaPorta out. Wright's absence leaves the Lions with TEs Anthony Firkser and Ross Dwelley. We wouldn't even mess with this situation in Thanksgiving daily contests.

Lions HC Dan Campbell said Friday that TE Sam LaPorta had back surgery and that his chances of returning this season are "very, very slim." We'll look for more details on LaPorta's injury and whether it'll impact his 2026, but he can be dropped from all redraft rosters.

The Lions placed TE Sam LaPorta on IR ahead of Sunday night's game against the Eagles because of his back injury. That means at least another three games without the third-year man. Despite entering the game questionable with his own ankle issue, Brock Wright took over the lead TE role. He ranked fourth on the team with 26 pass routes, trailing WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, and RB Jahmyr Gibbs. Wright also tied for third on the team with seven targets but caught just two of those for 8 yards on a limited passing night for his team.

The Lions placed TE Sam LaPorta on IR with his back injury. He's out through at least through Week 14, and it's unclear if he'll be ready to return when first eligible in Week 15. We still don't have any details on this back injury. LaPorta is worth trying to hang on to in fantasy leagues, but he's not a must-hold if you need the roster space. TE Brock Wright is next up on Detroit's depth chart but owns just 65 catches in 67 career games. TE Ross Dwelley -- 45 catches in 108 games -- is also on the active roster. TEs Anthony Firkser and Zach Horton are on the practice squad. We wouldn't bother with any of these guys in fantasy right now. Expect most of LaPorta's targets to be spread to WRs Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams and RBs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.

        2. 2 Brock Wright DET TE
