        Week 15 Overview

Egbuka stayed ice cold last week, turning nine targets into just two catches and 15 yards. His targets figure to take a hit going forward with WRs Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan back. But perhaps a little less defensive attention will help Egbuka's efficiency. He gets a plus Week 15 matchup against the Falcons, who rank 26th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to WRs on the season and dead last over the last five weeks. They've been especially bad against outside WRs, where Egbuka has run 64% of his routes this season.

        Bad News For Emeka Egbuka

        Bad News For Emeka Egbuka

Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka didn't kill you if you used him in fantasy lineups vs. the Falcons on Thursday night, finishing with four catches for 64 yards. Both those marks -- and Egbuka's seven targets -- ranked second on the team behind only WR Mike Evans. But a deeper dive into Tampa Bay's WR usage in this one reveals a major concern for Egbuka going forward.

Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles said Wednesday morning that WR Mike Evans (collarbone) has shown everything he's needed to show in practice to be activated for Thursday night's game vs. the Falcons. We'll see how he's listed on the final injury report later today, but we're now projecting Evans to play in this one. OC Josh Grizzard said last week that Evans would likely be on a snap count in his first game back, so don't expect his usual level of playing time against Atlanta. That said, we'd expect to see him on the field in high-leverage situations, particularly near the end zone. You'd ideally wait a week before getting Evans back in fantasy lineups, but he's at least in the WR3/4 mix based on his TD upside. Consider Evans' return a slight ding to WR Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin's outlooks.

Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka posted 2-15-0 in the loss to the Saints. Egbuka led the team with 10 targets with Chris Godwin coming in second with 7 targets. Godwin now has led the team in receiving for the second straight week going 5-55-0. QB Baker Mayfield’s inaccurate passes toward Egbuka didn’t help with the output. With WRs Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan set to return soon, targets may be spread even thinner.
