Buccaneers HC Todd Bowles said he'll make a decision on his Week 7 starting QB on Friday. QB Baker Mayfield (thumb) practiced on Wednesday for the first time since going down in Week 3. Bowles said Mayfield threw the ball well, per ESPN's Jenna Laine, but split reps with QB Jalon Daniels. We'll keep you updated on this situation. Mayfield wouldn't be a viable QB1 play in his first game back, but he'd help WRs Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin's outlooks.

WR Emeka Egbuka drew a massive 16 targets in Week 6, catching 7 for 48 yards and a TD. That added up to 17.8 PPR points and a WR12 finish. His 40% target share led Tampa Bay by a wide margin. The efficiency wasn’t there, though, at 3.0 yards per target. Jalon Daniels started for Baker Mayfield (thumb) for a third straight week and went 22 for 43 for 164 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs.

Mayfield was off to a rough start before dislocating his right thumb in Week 3, averaging just 6.4 yards per attempt with 2 TDs and 2 INTs. He won't be a QB1 consideration next week, but his return will undoubtedly be good news for WRs Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin.

The rookie is in play in 2-QB and superflex leagues thanks to his rushing ability, but he's a significant downgrade for Tampa Bay's pass catchers.
