Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune reports that LB K.J. Wright is re-signing with the Seahawks. That will keep him and MLB Bobby Wagner in their established roles, with fellow re-signee Mychal Kendricks potentially manning the opposite outside spot. Wright struggled through a knee injury last season, which limited him to just 5 games. Kendricks filled in for him at times, amid a league suspension and his own injury. When healthy, Wright has been a solid LB2-to-LB3 for IDP purposes. His deal is believed to be short term -- perhaps a "prove it" type contract coming off his 2018 knee issue.
Seahawks LB K.J. Wright will miss his 3rd straight game in Week 3 following knee surgery. Replacement Mychal Kendricks is questionable with an ankle issue. He popped onto the injury report after limited practices Thursday and Friday. We'll see about Kendricks' status Sunday. MLB Bobby Wagner's return to health makes him the Seattle LB to use.
The Seahawks have ruled MLB Bobby Wagner out for Monday night's game at Chicago. He missed practice all week with a groin injury. Weak-side LB K.J. Wright (ankle) will also miss his 2nd straight game. That leaves a potential tackle bonanza for rookie LB Shaquem Griffin. It also creates an attractive rushing setup for Bears RB Jordan Howard.
Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner and OLB K.J. Wright did not practice Friday because of injuries. Wright missed Week 1 following a preseason knee procedure. Wagner has a groin issue, despite playing every snap in the Week 1 loss to the Broncos. We'll see about their status following Saturday's practice, ahead of the Monday night game in Chicago.
Seahawks LB K.J. Wright returned to practice Tuesday after roughly a week away for some knee treatment, The News-Tribune reports. Wright and his coaches would only speak vaguely about the knee, which HC Pete Carroll said underwent a "process" and not a surgery. Wright said he didn't suffer a specific injury, but rather sought the treatment for an issue that had bothered him since June workouts. “I’m a soldier. I pushed through it,” Wright said. “We just wanted to be smart, so I could be 100 percent for the season. This is the perfect time.” Sounds like IDP owners don't need to worry about Wright, who's a solid option in LB3 territory in most fantasy football formats.
Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner is probable for Thursday night's game against the 49ers after putting in a full practice Wednesday. He missed Week 6 with a pectoral injury. Go ahead and use Wagner as you normally would in your IDP lineup. LB K.J. Wright brings a lower ceiling back as his normal outside spot than he did in the middle last week.
Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Monday that he's "pretty hopeful" MLB Bobby Wagner will be ready to play Thursday night against the 49ers, according to the Seattle Times. Wagner missed Sunday's loss to the Panthers with a pectoral injury he suffered late in Week 5. K.J. Wright played the middle in Wagner's absence, with Kevin Pierre-Louis stepping in on the weak side. They each tallied 11+ total tackles against Carolina (with 3 solos apiece) and would be worth a look in IDP leagues against the Niners.
The Seahawks announced Tuesday that HC Pete Carroll said MLB Bobby Wagner is "improving quickly" in his recovery from turf toe but that the star defender won't play in Week 10. That'll make a 4th straight missed game for the IDP stud, but it sounds like Wagner could return for the Week 11 game at Kansas City. If you've hung on to him this long in your IDP league, then you should continue to do so. And Wagner's among the few fantasy defenders worth clinging to wherever possible through injury. We expect top-10 LB production after he returns, though a month away might mean limited snaps for his 1st game back. K.J. Wright will start in his place again Sunday and carry significant IDP upside against the Giants.
