Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty operated as the clear lead back in Sunday’s win over Miami. He topped rookie Mike Washington Jr. in snap share (73% to 19%), carry share (70% to 21%), and route rate (61% to 16%). The result? An outing with 102 rushing yards, plus 6 catches, 45 receiving yards, and 2 receiving scores.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Jeanty showed off his receiving chops with a pair of TD catches.
His first came on a slant from the backfield, where he was isolated against rookie Round 1 CB Chris Johnson. The pass arrived off target, but Jeanty adjusted for the 13-yard score.
He later scored again from 13 yards out, sneaking into the flat off play action before making an over-the-shoulder catch and racing into the end zone. Jeanty also added another red-zone reception that brought Vegas to the 7-yard line. That type of passing-game involvement makes sense with the Raiders thin at WR and Brock Bowers sidelined. But it was especially encouraging after Jeanty missed a chunk of the summer with an ankle injury.
He looked good on the ground, too, with 4.4 yards per carry compared with 3.9 expected YPC, per Next Gen Stats. Jeanty also faced stacked boxes on 34.8% of his attempts, the seventh-highest rate of the week.
Miami might supply the easiest matchup on the schedule all season, but it was still nice to see Jeanty deliver such a strong all-around game. He’ll remain an easy RB1 against a Chargers defense that’s light on playmakers.
