The Packers utilized three RBs in Sunday’s overtime win over the Jets: MarShawn Lloyd, Chris Brooks, and Kaleb Johnson. The problem was that no RB topped 8 carries or 32 yards.

Despite going into overtime, the Packers ran a below-average 50 offensive plays. Here’s how the backfield broke down in terms of usage:
Johnson: 44% carry share, 28% snap share, 0% target share
Lloyd: 33% carry share, 28% snap share, 7% target share
Brooks: 22% carry share, 44% snap share, 7% target share.
Johnson finished with that team-high 8 carries for 32 yards, with his first rushing attempt coming late in the opening quarter. He also received two carries deep in overtime as Green Bay moved into position for the game-winning field goal. Those late touches were notable after Lloyd fumbled in the fourth quarter and didn’t see another touch.
Earlier, Lloyd scored on a 6-yard TD catch on a designed screen out of the backfield. But we’ll see if Johnson’s performance earned him more work for a backfield that remains without Josh Jacobs.
For now, Johnson is only worth a speculative add in deep leagues ahead of a Thursday night matchup vs. Atlanta.
