Vikings RB Aaron Jones dominated backfield work in Sunday's win over the Buccaneers, but he didn't do anything dominant with those opportunities. Jones carried 17 times for 58 yards (3.4 per rush) and caught five balls for 34 yards (6.8 per catch). Jones handled 81% of Minnesota's RB carries and all of their RB targets. His 6 ranked second on the team.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
The problem here continues Jones' issue from last season.
He's averaging just 3.9 yards per rush so far, down from last year's career-low 4.2. The 6.8 yards per catch mark a dip from last year's 7.1, which marked a more significant dip from 8.0 and 7.8 the previous two years.
Jones also hadn't caught a pass this season before Sunday's game.
Minnesota gets the Dolphins next, so you probably don't want to unload Jones ahead of that one. But a strong fantasy line there could make him a terrific sell ahead of Week 5's trip to New Orleans.
The Vikings get a bye after that, and then Jordan Mason will be eligible to return Week 7.
