The Eagles lost No. 3 RB Will Shipley in the first half of Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. That left Dameon Pierce -- elevated this week -- to lead the backfield. He logged just 14 yards on his 11 carries (1.3 per rush) and totaled 2 catches for minus-2 yards among 5 targets.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Pierce's receiving performance included at least one second-half drop, while his overall performance included nothing encouraging.
There are plenty of leagues where any starting RB should get picked up, and Pierce could get lucky on the TD front if pressed into starting duty in Week 6 (as Shipley did before leaving Sunday's game).
But Pierce looks like a poor bet to actually help your fantasy team, and we don't yet know how long Saquon Barkley (hamstring) will remain out.
So don't bother pursuing Pearce on Week 6 waivers unless you're desperate.
We'll see about the statuses for Shipley and Barkley over the coming week.
