Ashton Jeanty Headshot

Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty rushed 10 times for only 27 yards in Sunday’s loss at New England. Dating back to last season, Jeanty has now gone seven straight games without a rushing score.

What They're Saying

After the game, HC Klint Kubiak admitted that Jeanty was hobbled by the ankle/foot injury that landed him on the injury report.

"Yes. Ashton is beat up. And it's a testament to how tough he is that he's out there playing today for his teammates."

Here's Jeanty on the injury.

"Unless I can't run, jump, I'm playing. Football is a tough game. You're never gonna play feeling 100 percent. So at the end of the day, I just want to go out there and do my best for my teammates and whatever it takes."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Little Success in a Positive Matchup

Let’s start with a positive.

Jeanty delivered 3 catches for 50 yards while finishing second on the team in targets (6). He ripped off a 31-yard gain to the nine-yard line, using his power to break tackles on the way.

Jeanty just wasn’t given much room to run on the ground, and he lacked the creativity to make up for the shaky blocking. Per Next Gen Stats, his yards per carry of 2.7 fell well below his expected YPC (3.4). He also added -0.28 EPA per rush attempt and -0.7 rush yards over expected per attempt.

This all came against a New England unit that entered Sunday 25th in rush defense DVOA. They were 21st in adjusted fantasy points allowed.

Usual backup RB Mike Washington Jr. mixed in for only one carry and one catch. Dylan Laube ranked second in the backfield in touches (7) and popped in a 2-yard rushing score after Jeanty took the team down near the goal line.

Even if Jeanty scored that one, it’s clear the Vegas run game remains a work in progress. That'll continue to make him a shaky RB1 for Sunday's matchup with Buffalo.
