Jeremiyah Love Headshot

Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday, and it sounds like the team is considering holding him out of this weekend'd game vs. the Rams.

What They're Saying

HC Mike LaFleur: "We all agree that as much as he wants to battle, hey, let's give it a little bit of rest and see how it is as the week goes on. ... I know how explosive he is, I know how explosive he wants to be. That's a fair assessment. The rest for him will be vital."

2026 Fantasy Football Impact

The right ankle that Love sprained in August is no longer an issue, according to LaFleur. But Love has been battling a left ankle sprain for "a couple of weeks," LaFleur said.

Since tallying 109 yards in Week 3, Love has totaled just 95 over the last two games combined. He's averaged only 3.3 yards per carry over that span, including 1.8 against the Lions last week.

It might be better for fantasy owners at this point if Love takes a week off to get healthy, especially with the Cardinals 12.5-point underdogs vs. the Rams on Sunday.

Other Winners & Losers

Love's absence would likely leave RB Tyler Allgeier in an every-down role. He's already been playing ahead of Love in passing situations, and Zonovan Knight is the only other RB on the active roster.

Game script and matchup (the Rams sit 10th in our Run Defense Power Rankings) would work against Allgeier. But volume would put him in play as a fantasy starter for plenty of fantasy teams.
