Dameon Pierce Headshot

Eagles default starting RB Dameon Pierce ran for just 35 yards on 12 carries in Sunday's loss to the Panthers. That did include a 2-yard TD run after a pass interference set Philly up near the goal line. Pierce added 4 catches for 15 yards among 5 targets. That incompletion came on a bad drop of a short toss.

2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Lackluster Player + Lackluster Offense = Limited Upside

Pierce isn't that good, and neither is his offense. That's why he only logged 12 carries despite no other Eagles RB taking a handoff, and why he gave us another week of less than 3 yards per carry.

Carson Steele left the game early with a right-shoulder injury that should only further help Pierce's backfield control while Saquon Barkley remains out (hamstring).

(Steele caught 1 of 2 targets for 4 yards before leaving.)

Barkley continued to miss practice all week leading up to the Carolina game, so we'll see whether his status changes for next Monday night's date with Dallas.

Philly still has three more games before the Week 10 bye, so that doesn't figure to factor into Barkley's return timing.

If Pierce remains in charge of the backfield for Week 7, he'll get a matchup that's been the league's best for RB scoring.

Expect that to put Pierce on the fringes of RB2 territory again, like he was for Week 6.
