Dolphins RB Ollie Gordon managed only 69 yards on 19 attempts in Sunday’s Week 8 matchup vs. the Patriots. He failed to haul in his only target.
What They're Saying
Gordon was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on a drive that ultimately ended in a Miami punt.
“It’s just one of those things where I got to keep my mouth shut and walk back to the huddle,” Gordon said via the South Florida Sun Sentinel. “I feel like that’s one of the things that I need to work on the most, especially in that situation. It just can’t happen.”
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Gordon entered Sunday with only 3 catches for 0 yards in three starts without De’Von Achane. So a negative game script brought the potential to erase the momentum he created with consecutive games of 19.0, 14.8, and 17.8 fantasy points.
But Miami kept the rain-soaked game close until the Patriots pulled ahead by 11 early in the fourth quarter. That helped him reach 18+ carries for the third straight week.
Jaylen Wright mixed in for only 2 carries for 5 yards. He dropped his only target.
Next up for Gordon is a neutral matchup vs. Detroit. Beyond that, the second-year back faces the fourth-most favorable RB strength of schedule. Keep rolling him out as an RB2 option.
