The Lions have ruled MLB Jarrad Davis (ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. That should mean more playing time for rookie LB Jahlani Tavai. DT A'Shawn Robinson (shoulder) has also been ruled out. Detroit has also deemed DT John Atkins (illness) questionable. That doesn't matter for IDP purposes, but missing Atkins in addition to Robinson would leave the team without 2 of its top 4 DTs from last week's lineup. LB Christian Jones (shoulder) is also questionable. That's another unimportant designation for IDP, but Jones' absence would similarly chip away at Detroit's regular starting lineup.

Lions DT Damon Harrison (groin) and DT A'Shawn Robinson (ankle) are active for today's game against the Bears. Both are low-level IDP options. DE Romeo Okwara (groin) is inactive.

The Lions have ruled out S Tracy Walker (knee) for Sunday's game against the Bears. That should mean rookie S Will Harris joining Tavon Wilson in the starting lineup for the 2nd straight game. DE Da'Shawn Hand (ankle) is also out. DT Damon Harrison (groin), DE Romeo Okwara (groin) and DT A'Shawn Robinson (ankle) are questionable for the game. None is a strong IDP option, but we'll update their statuses Sunday morning.

Lions S Quandre Diggs (hamstring) and DE Da'Shawn Hand (elbow) are inactive for tonight's game against the Packers. CB Darius Slay (hamstring) and DT A'Shawn Robinson (knee) are active after hitting the weekend questionable.

Lions DE Ezekiel Ansah and DT Damon Harrison are questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers as each deals with a shoulder injury. Both players put in limited practices all week. Ansah played through questionable tags the past 2 games. We'd bet on him being active again, but he'll need to grow his role before returning to real IDP consideration. Harrison's issue is new, but his participation in practice all week leaves us optimistic. We'll see about his status Sunday morning. Detroit will definitely be without its other starting DT, A'Shawn Robinson, who has been ruled out with an ankle injury.

The Lions took DT A'Shawn Robinson in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft. At 6'4, 307 pounds, Robinson adds depth to a Detroit interior that has watched Nick Fairley and Ndamukong Suh leave in free agency the past couple of years. Haloti Ngata is also nearing the end of his career, while Tyrunn Walker is playing on a 1-year deal. Robinson never topped 8 tackles for loss in his 3 years at Alabama and doesn't project as much of an IDP option.
