The Giants released K Chandler Catanzaro, who lasted just 3 weeks on the roster. That leaves the starting job to newly signed K Graham Gano for now. We'd still avoid the situation in fantasy drafts.

The Giants signed K Graham Gano. The 33-year-old missed the entire 2019 campaign with a knee injury but sports a career 82.1% FG conversion rate across 10 seasons. Gano will compete with Chandler Catanzaro for the starting job in New York. Avoid the situation in fantasy drafts until we get a winner.

The Panthers have released K Graham Gano. That leaves the starting job for now to K Joey Slye, who connected on 78% of FG attempts and 87% of XPs last year. Carolina might still bring in competition if Slye struggles in August.

Panthers K Graham Gano (knee) has been placed on IR. Since the team made the move before final cuts, Gano isn't eligible to return for the 2nd half of the season. That leaves undrafted rookie K Joey Slye atop the depth chart. He connected on 7 of 8 FG attempts this preseason, with his only miss getting blocked. Slye could be a spot-start option this season, but we'd go with a more proven K in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

Panthers K Graham Gano will miss the team's preseason finale with a sore knee, according to The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue. It's uncertain if Gano is in danger of missing the start of the regular season, but avoid him in fantasy drafts until the situation clears up.

Update: The Panthers might put Gano on IR, according to NFL Network's Tiffany Blackmon, which would cost him at least 8 games.

The Panthers have placed K Graham Gano (knee) on IR. Chandler Catanzaro will handle kicking duties the rest of the way but isn't a fantasy option with Taylor Heinicke under center.

Panthers K Graham Gano (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Browns. K Chandler Catanzaro will kick in his place. Gano is sitting just 22nd among Ks in fantasy points, so Catanzaro isn’t a recommended Week 14 play.

11:10am EDT 10/29/17

Panthers K Graham Gano (knee, illness) is active for today’s game against the Bucs. Carolina signed K Roberto Aguayo to the practice squad this week, so there was at least some concern about Gano’s status. He’s a risky Week 8 fantasy play.

Panthers K Graham Gano (knee, illness) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the Bucs. He didn’t practice on Friday, but HC Ron Rivera said that was more about him having the flu than anything knee-related. Gano should be fine for Sunday’s game, but you’ll have to check back around noon ET to make sure he’s active.

3:10pm EDT 10/22/17

Panthers K Graham Gano is active for today’s game against the Bears. There was never much concern about his status, but Gano still carries some risk in Week 7 fantasy lineups.

Panthers K Graham Gano is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bears with what HC Ron Rivera called “knee soreness.” Rivera didn’t sound very concerned about Gano’s availability, according to Max Henson of the team’s official website. We’ll find out Gano’s status by noon ET on Sunday, but you might be better off going with a fully healthy K.

Panthers HC Ron Rivera named Graham Gano his K for Sunday's opener against the 49ers. The team is also carrying K Harrison Butker and was reportedly trying to trade Gano. But the veteran gets the Week 1 nod. He's a fine fantasy option in a plus matchup.

The Panthers have finalized their 53-man roster, and it includes both kickers who spent the summer competing. Veteran Graham Gano and 7th-round rookie Harrison Butker will apparently both open the regular season with the team. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport also reports that Carolina has been fielding trade offers for Gano. We'll see if they make a move. For now, fantasy drafters might want to steer toward a clearer situation.

Panthers K Graham Gano has a broken bone in the heel of his plant foot. Gano and team doctors recognized the issue during last week's game against the Chargers. Gano played through it and connected on 4 FGs and 2 XPs. The injury might not be a major issue, but we'd rather roll with a healthy K in your fantasy playoffs.

The Panthers re-signed K Graham Gano to a 4-year deal. The 26-year-old made 24 of 27 kicks last season, good for a career-high 88.9 FG percentage. He still finished as a middle-of-the-road fantasy kicker, though. There’s no reason to overdraft him this summer.

The Redskins have signed K Graham Gano to replace K Shaun Suisham.  Gano battled K Steven Hauschka for the Ravens job this summer but lost.  He's not a fantasy option on Washington's mediocre offense.
