Chase Edmonds Injury News
View AllRachaad White turns up questionable
The Buccaneers on Saturday added RB Rachaad White to the injury report as questionable with a knee issue. White didn’t turn up on any of the week’s practice reports, so this issue must have arisen at some point since Friday’s practice. We’ll obviously need to watch White’s status up until game time against the Colts. If he can’t go, Chase Edmonds looks like the next guy up. He was the only other Bucs RB to play any offensive snaps last week. Edmonds played just 21%, though, and White has dominated backfield touches all season. We’d bet on more of a committee in his absence than Edmonds taking over that role. Edmonds can work as an insurance option, though, if you don’t have a better replacement available
Bucs open Chase Edmonds' practice window
The Buccaneers have designated RB Chase Edmonds (knee) to return from IR. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll be involved in Thursday night's game against the Bills. But Edmonds can rejoin the active roster at any point over the next three weeks. We'll see what his return means for a struggling backfield, whenever it happens. Edmonds totaled four opportunities (all carries) before landing on IR, so he's not worth any waiver attention in most leagues right now.
Chase Edmonds dealing with knee injury
Buccaneers RB Chase Edmonds is having an MRI today on an MCL injury that knocked him out of Sunday's win over the Bears. Edmonds missing further time could only help rookie RB Sean Tucker, who already edged the vet in Week 1 playing time. Ke'Shawn Vaughn would likely find a role with Edmonds out as well. Rachaad White remained the clear lead back in Week 2.
