Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (hamstring) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’ll return for Sunday’s game against the Rams. It’s completely unclear how much work he’ll see behind new lead back Kenyan Drake, so Edmonds can’t be trusted in Week 13 fantasy lineups.
Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds is expected to miss "a few weeks" with the hamstring injury he suffered in yesterday's loss to the Saints, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Arizona has a Week 12 bye, so Week 13 seems like the most realistic return date for Edmonds. We'll see what the backfield looks like at that point with David Johnson rehabbing his ankle injury and Kenyan Drake now in the mix.
The Cardinals have agreed to send a conditional 2020 draft pick to the Dolphins in exchange for RB Kenyan Drake, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Arizona has lost RB David Johnson to an ankle injury and RB Chase Edmonds to a hamstring injury over the past couple of weeks. Both guys seem unlikely to be ready for Thursday night's game against the 49ers. Schefter confirms that Drake "could be in line for significant work" in that one. There's nice short-term opportunity here, so Drake is worth rostering in all fantasy leagues. But he figures to struggle for volume when Johnson and Edmonds get healthy.
Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds suffered a hamstring injury in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game in New Orleans and is officially questionable to return. Zach Zenner is the only other active RB for Arizona today.
The Cardinals have signed RB Alfred Morris. The 30-year-old averaged 3.9 yards on 111 carries for the 49ers last year. In Arizona, he'll slot in as veteran insurance behind Chase Edmonds for however long David Johnson is out with his ankle injury.
Cardinals RB David Johnson didn't practice on Wednesday and is listed on the injury report with an ankle. It was a back issue that limited D.J. in practice last week. This could just be a rest day for Johnson, and we'll find out more tomorrow. But RB Chase Edmonds should be stashed in pretty much all fantasy leagues.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Cardinals RB David Johnson is expected to play against the Falcons today -- "barring a setback" -- despite the back injury that rendered him questionable. An active Johnson belongs in fantasy lineups against the defense that allowed 53 points to the Texans a week ago. Chase Edmonds can still be a deeper PPR option, but last week marked the 1st time this season he collected more than 6 touches.
Cardinals RB David Johnson injured his wrist in the 1st quarter of Sunday's game in Baltimore and is officially questionable to return. A wrist injury cost him almost all of 2017, although it's unclear if this is related. We'll update Johnson's status when we learn more. RB Chase Edmonds is Arizona's backup.
Update: Johnson returned in the 2nd quarter. Exhale.
