49ers WR Deebo Samuel will have further testing on his injured left shoulder on Sunday, ESPN reports. The team is reportedly hoping that Samuel didn't suffer the same hairline fracture injury that he did in a Week 6 loss to the Browns. That cost him the next two games. Samuel was able to return following San Francisco's Week 9 bye. "I don't know yet," HC Kyle Shanahan said after the win over the Packers. "I mean he tried to come back [but] couldn't do it. I know he did something similar versus Cleveland." We should get an update on Samuel within the next 24 hours. WR Jauan Jennings stepped up for five catches and 61 yards vs. Green Bay and would be in for an expanded role if Samuel misses the NFC Championship.
Deebo Samuel out for Week 8
49ers WR Deebo Samuel (shoulder) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. We’ll see if he’s ready to return after San Francisco’s Week 9 bye. Jauan Jennings should operate as the 49ers’ No. 2 WR again this weekend but would be a desperation fantasy play.
Deebo Samuel to miss at least two games with hairline fracture in shoulder
HC Kyle Shanahan told reporters Saturday that 49ers WR Deebo Samuel will miss at least two games with a hairline fracture in his injured shoulder. The team's bye follows that. We'll see whether he's ready to return for Week 10. Samuel's absence these next two weeks should help the target counts for WR Brandon Aiyuk and TE George Kittle. Jauan Jennings stands next in line among WRs and could sneak into some deep value.
Deebo Samuel questionable for Week 5
49ers WR Deebo Samuel (ribs, knee) is not listed on the final Week 5 injury report. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Thursday that Samuel will be "less than 100%" for Sunday night's game vs. the Cowboys, but it at least looks like he’s in better shape than he was last week. Deebo Samuel questionable for Week 4
49ers WR Deebo Samuel (ribs, knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Cardinals. He didn't practice all week. Samuel said Friday that the knee is a bigger issue than the ribs, adding, "I feel pretty good... We'll just see how I continue to progress for the next couple of days and then we'll just see what happens." 49ers-Cardinals doesn't kick off until 4:25 pm ET on Sunday, but hopefully we'll get an update on Deebo that morning. WR Jauan Jennings (shin) is listed as doubtful for Week 4.
