        George Kittle Hurts Left Ankle

49ers TE George Kittle hurt his left ankle in the third quarter of Monday night's game vs. the Colts. He was visibly frustrated as he made his way off the field. Kittle was deemed questionable to return and remained on the sidelines, but he never made it back onto the field. He had a monster game before exiting, catching 7 of 8 targets for 115 yards and a score. But his availability for Sunday night's game vs. the Bears is now uncertain. HC Kyle Shanahan didn't have an update on the injury afterward. We'll keep you posted.

Ricky Pearsall Out For Week 16

        1:20am UTC 12/21/25

49ers WR Ricky Pearsall (ankle, knee) is out for Monday night's game vs. the Colts. He didn't practice all week and could certainly miss multiple games after aggravating his PCL injury last week. Pearsall's absence boosts the target projections on WR Jauan Jennings and TE George Kittle.

Welcome Back for Real, George Kittle

        3:50pm UTC 10/27/25

Niners TE George Kittle officially returned from his hamstring injury in Week 7. But he wound up just short of his usual playing-time share, drew just two targets, and produced nary a catch. Kittle re-emerged in Sunday's loss to the Texans, tying for the team lead with 4 receptions. Kittle tallied 43 yards and caught one of Mac Jones' 2 TD passes. The other scoring toss frustratingly went to TE Jake Tonges on a fourth-quarter route that ran him right in front of Kittle.

No Limitations For George Kittle In Week 7 Return

        12:38am UTC 10/18/25

49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) is off the final Week 7 injury report. He practiced all week, including a full workout on Friday. HC Kyle Shanahan said Friday that Kittle won’t have any limitations against the Falcons on Sunday night. "No pitch count," Shanahan said. "George has rehabbed really well. He came back 100% and had a good week of practice, so we’ll space it out throughout the game but no pitch count." There’s still some risk of re-injury here, but Kittle is back near the top of the Week 7 TE rankings.

George Kittle "Fully Plans" To Play Week 7

        12:34am UTC 10/17/25

49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) remained limited in practice on Wednesday, but he said afterward that he "fully plans" on playing vs. the Falcons on Sunday night, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner. Kittle added that the final decision rests with HC Kyle Shanahan but that he expects to get the green light. We'll see how Kittle is listed on Friday's final injury report and look for further updates on the 49ers' plans for Kittle in his first action since Week 1.

George Kittle On Track For Week 6 Return

        12:17am UTC 10/3/25

49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) is "doing great" and has a "real chance" to return for Week 6, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That's when Kittle is first eligible to come off IR. He'll carry elevated risk of re-injury in his first game or two back. But Kittle will immediately slot back into the top 5 in our TE rankings as soon as he's active. We'll keep you updated on his status next week.

George Kittle Expected to Miss Multiple Weeks

        10:41pm UTC 9/8/25

Several reports have 49ers TE George Kittle missing multiple weeks with the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Seahawks. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports it'll likely be 3-5 weeks. His absence means more playing time for TEs Luke Farrell and Jake Tonges, but neither makes for an attractive addition in fantasy leagues right now. We'll see whether Kittle lands on IR, which would tell us more about his return timeline.

George Kittle Out With Hamstring Injury

        9:18pm UTC 9/7/25

49ers TE George Kittle suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's opener vs. the Seahawks and has been ruled out. Kittle missed two games last year with separate hamstring injuries and also dealt with hamstring trouble in training camp in 2017 and 2020. We'll see how much time Kittle will miss with his latest issue. His absence leaves Luke Farrell as San Francisco's lead TE, but he's not worth adding to fantasy rosters.

According to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner, the 49ers are still unsure when WR Brandon Aiyuk will return. Aiyuk suffered a multi-ligament knee injury back in Week 7 of the 2024 campaign. With WR Deebo Samuel now in Washington, there are plenty of targets available in San Francisco.

Brock Purdy Listed Questionable, On Track To Play Week 13

        8:04pm UTC 11/29/24

49ers QB Brock Purdy (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday night's game vs. the Bills. But he put in a full practice on Friday, and HC Kyle Shanahan said afterward that Purdy is on track to play. “Lots of things can happen between now and then, but right now he's playing,” Shanahan said. We'll look for further updates on Purdy's status. But between the injury to his throwing shoulder and the matchup with Buffalo's ninth-ranked QB defense, Purdy is not a recommended QB1 play this week. San Francisco is currently implied for only 19.25 points -- tied for fifth fewest on the week.

George Kittle Unlikely to Play Week 11

        6:09am UTC 11/17/24

ESPN’s Adam Schefter writes that 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) is “unlikely” to play Sunday vs. Seattle. Per Schefter, Kittle's injury "is not considered a long-term injury," and the TE is expected to return next week vs. Green Bay. We’ll know his official status around 2:30ET today, but fantasy managers should certainly make other plans. View our Week 11 TE rankings.

49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. HC Kyle Shanahan hasn't sounded concerned about Kittle's status this week, so we're expecting him to play vs. the Seahawks on Sunday. Check back tomorrow to see how Kittle is listed on the final injury report.

George Kittle Expected To Play Week 5

49ers TE George Kittle (ribs) is expected to play vs. the Cardinals today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Kittle is listed as questionable after getting in just a limited practice on Friday. But he was able to play through this injury in the second half of last week’s game and will be out there again today. There's some risk of re-injury here if Kittle takes a big hit, but he belongs in basically all fantasy lineups.
