Lions LB Devon Kennard (hip) and CB Darius Slay (ankle) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Kennard put in limited practices Thursday and Friday after sitting out Wednesday. Slay popped up on the injury report Thursday and was limited Thursday and Friday. We'll update their statuses Sunday afternoon. Neither is much of an IDP option.

The Lions have opened training camp with DE Ezekiel Ansah on the PUP list and LB Devon Kennard on the non-football injury list. Ansah is still working his way back from spring knee surgery. Detroit has not revealed Kennard's injury, after the free-agent addition worked out with the team in the spring. According to the Detroit Free Press, Kennard is expected to be back before the regular season. We'll see when either player actually returns. The absences of 2 key pass rushers is tough for a defense that ranked 23rd in sack rate last season.
Giants OLB Devon Kennard left Sunday's win at Buffalo with a hamstring injury. We'll keep an eye on his status through the practice week heading into a positive matchup Sunday night with the Niners. Kennard has showed coverage ability this year after emerging as a pass-rush threat in 2014. He's looking like an enticing IDP prospect for 2015 and beyond.
