Jaguars LB Telvin Smith popped onto the injury report Thursday with a shoulder issue that limited his practice participation the past 2 days. Smith is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts. We'll check his status Sunday morning.
Jaguars DE Calais Campbell is questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans. Jacksonville lists him with an ankle injury, which he played through in Week 6. Campbell came away from that game with a new rib injury. Whatever the main ailment, he did put in limited practices Thursday and Friday after sitting out Wednesday. We'll check his status Sunday morning.
The Jaguars have added DL Calais Campbell to the injury report, listing him as questionable against the Patriots with a knee issue. We'll check on his status when the inactives come out later this morning. The matchup already has Campbell well down our DL rankings vs. his usual outlook.
Jaguars OLB Telvin Smith (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's game against Seattle, but there's been no report of him clearing the league protocol as of Saturday morning. The status suggests the team hopes he can clear it Saturday and play, but IDP owners need to secure insurance. LB Paul Posluszny would be a fantasy starter if Smith sits again. CB Jalen Ramsey is also questionable with the same ankle injury that landed him on the Week 13 injury report. He put in just a limited practice Friday after missing the previous 2 days, a lower participation level than last week. We'll check Ramsey's status Sunday morning.
Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey (hand) is active for today's game against the Cardinals after all. He said after suffering the injury in Friday's practice that he wouldn't be playing, but the team has listed him as questionable all along. Use Ramsey as you normally would in your IDP league, though the injury likely hurts his ability to catch a football at least a bit.
Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey will play today against the Cardinals despite the hand injury he suffered Friday, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports. Ramsey had said after Friday's practice that he would miss the game, but Jacksonville has kept him listed as questionable the entire time. We'll confirm his status when the late-game inactives arrive. Unfortunately, the late start means you'll either need to opt for a different DB in your IDP lineup or secure an insurance option from the Seahawks, 49ers, Jaguars, Cardinals, Saints, Rams, Broncos, Raiders, Packers, Steelers, Texans or Ravens. If you plan to wait, fellow Jaguars Aaron Colvin could serve as insurance from the same upside matchup.
Jaguats CB Jalen Ramsey suffered a hand injury in Friday's practice and is officially questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. He told reporters that he'll miss the game, however, according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco. That would be a big loss for the Jacksonville defense but certainly not change its fantasy-starter status.
Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey is active for today's game against the Titans. He entered the weekend questionable because of an ankle injury. Ramsey's a marginal IDP option but hurts the fantasy outlook for Titans outside WRs.
The Jaguars practiced Wednesday and Thursday without both of their starting CBs. Jalen Ramsey sat out each workout with an ankle injury, while A.J. Bouye dealt with an illness. We'll see about their expected game statuses when those come out Friday. Missing either -- or both -- would obviously help the fantasy outlook for Marcus Mariota and his WRs.
Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey said he had surgery Thursday to repair a core muscle injury that he suffered in OTAs. The Florida Times-Union reports that he could be out for up to 6 weeks. He's reportedly expected to be ready for training camp, though the time line likely means he'll be limited in his early participation. Ramsey enjoyed a strong rookie campaign that included some big IDP numbers late in the year. As long as he's fully healthy before the start of the season, he'll present fantasy upside for deeper IDP leagues and be a key component for a likely ascending Jacksonville team D.
The Jaguars announced Thursday that #1 pick CB Jalen Ramsey sustained a "small" tear in his right meniscus. We'll see what the team says about treatment and timetable for Ramsey's recovery. This makes 2 straight offseasons, though, of their top pick quickly suffering a knee injury. Last year it was DE Dante Fowler suffering an ACL tear. Even healthy, Ramsey's not necessarily an exciting IDP option because of his position.
Jaguars OLB Telvin Smith played through a separated AC joint in his right shoulder and a dislocated finger in Sunday's loss to the Falcons, according to the team website. We'll see whether he can continue playing through the shoulder injury in Week 16. IDP owners will keep all of their properly located fingers crossed, given Smith's terrific fantasy production all season.
Jaguars CB Aaron Colvin didn't start Sunday's loss at Tennessee and played only half of the defensive snaps, but it wasn't because of a demotion. Jacksonville.com reports that he suffered a "freak" ankle injury on Saturday at the team hotel. “It was a freak accident,” he said. “I was getting stretched [Saturday] like always and did a little exercise and I felt it. [Sunday] morning, it was really bad. Something just flared up. I already know it’ll be 100 percent by [Monday]. I wasn’t going to sit. I knew I had to be out there.” As long as the reports remain positive through the practice week, we'll be going back to Colvin in IDP leagues this Sunday against the Colts. Dwayne Gratz started in Colvin's place against the Titans.
The Jaguars announced Monday that DT Sen'Derrick Marks suffered a torn triceps in Sunday's win over the Ravens. They have yet to rule him out for the year, but that's generally a season-ending injury. The Florida Times-Union reports that it will require surgery. Marks started slowly this season after suffering an ACL tear in the final game of 2014. We'll see about his IDP outlook heading into 2016.
Jaguars DT Sen'Derrick Marks will make his season debut Sunday against the Texans. He has been out since tearing his right ACL at the end of last season. "I've been waiting," Marks said Friday, per ESPN.com. "I've been doing everything that I was told, preparing and just making sure I'm ready, so I'm very excited." We wouldn't use Marks right away in IDP lineups, but we'll be watching to see how close he is to last year's career-best form. Marks racked up 44 tackles and 8.5 sacks before the injury in 2014 to finish top 20 among fantasy D-linemen.
Jaguars MLB Paul Posluszny is inactive for today's game against the Bucs. That comes as no surprised after he suffered an ankle sprain last week. It was more surprising that he showed up questionable on the final injury report. Jaguars weak-side LB Telvin Smith makes for 1 of the position's strongest fantasy plays this week.
Jaguars MLB Paul Posluszny suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's loss at Indy. That will almost certainly knock him out for Week 5 and often proves to be a multiple-week injury. Unfortunately for the Jags, they also have 2 more games before a Week 8 bye. We'll see if the team tackle leader can make it back before then. Look for OLB Telvin Smith to absorb more tackles while Poz is out. That only makes him look better for an already terrific matchup with Tampa Bay in Week 5. Thurston Armbrister sits behind Poz at MLB on the depth chart.
Jaguars S Johnathan Cyprien is active for today's game in New England. He missed last week with a calf injury, which adds some risk to his Week 3 outlook. He'll need to compile good tackle numbers against the Pats to deliver for IDP owners. We're not betting on a good fantasy outing.
Jaguars S Johnathan Cyprien is questionable for Sunday's game at New England because of a calf injury that kept him out for Week 2. Cyprien missed practice again on Tuesday and Wednesday this week before returning for a limited workout Thursday. He still seems risky even if he's active for Week 3. Try to find a safer DB option for your IDP lineup.
Jaguars S Johnathan Cyprien is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Dolphins as he deals with finger and calf injuries. Josh Evans figures to start in his place. Miami hasn't proved to be a favorable matchup for DB scoring recently, though.
