        Walker to start Week 7

Panthers HC Steve Wilks said Wednesday that QB P.J. Walker will start Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Walker threw for just 60 yards before leading the Week 6 loss with a neck issue. It doesn't sound like the team is concerned about that injury. The Panthers also designated QB Sam Darnold to return from IR Wednesday, though we'll see if he's ready for a spot on the active roster this week. Jacob Eason served as Walker's backup in Week 6.

Walker knocked out with neck injury

Panthers QB P.J. Walker was knocked out of Sunday's loss to the Rams with a 4th-quarter neck injury. QB Jacob Eason mopped up, completing 3 of 5 passes for 59 yards and a pick. We'll see if Walker is available for Week 7 -- and if Carolina sticks with him. Walker mustered just 60 yards on 10-of-16 passing today. QBs Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold are unlikely to be ready for Week 7 with their ankle injuries.

        Wentz hurt both ankles

Colts QB Carson Wentz injured both of his ankles in Sunday's loss to the Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Wentz is undergoing tests today to determine the severity of the injuries. We'll update his status when we know more. The entire Colts offense would need to be downgraded if they're forced to go with QB Jacob Eason.

Colts QB Carson Wentz was knocked out in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Rams with a right foot or ankle injury. QB Jacob Eason entered and threw an INT on his 2nd pass. We'll update Wentz's status when we know more.

Wentz has foot issue, "out indefinitely"

Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports that Colts QB Carson Wentz is sitting out Friday's workout with a foot injury. We'll keep an eye out for more info on that situation. In Wentz's absence, 2nd-year QB Jacob Eason will be taking 1st-team reps. We'll see if the former Day 3 pick can nail down the backup job for 2021. That could bring opportunity behind a starter with Wentz's injury history and 2020 struggles.

Update: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Wentz is "out indefinitely" with his foot issue. He'll undergo testing to determine the severity.
