Jets DE Leonard Williams hurt his back in Sunday's loss to the Chargers and did not return. We'll see if he's well enough to play against the Patriots in the finale, but the situation at least adds risk to a guy who has mostly disappointed IDP owners all year. Teammate Muhammad Wilkerson, of course, has been a healthy scratch the past 2 weeks because of his crappy attitude.

Jets DE Leonard Williams left Saturday night's game against the Giants with a wrist injury. It wasn't clear when the injury occurred, and the team ruled him questionable to return. That could indicate the issue being minor. We'll await further updates, though. Williams carries top-15 potential among fantasy D-linemen.

Jets DE Sheldon Richardson is inactive for today's game at Houston because of a hamstring injury. That'll return the line to its season-opening alignment and likely mean a bit more playing time for Leonard Williams. It doesn't alter Williams' IDP outlook, however. The Jets' team D also remains usable against the Texans.

The Jets watched starting defenders S Calvin Pryor (bruised knee), LB David Harris (quad) and DE Leonard Williams (ankle sprain) leave Sunday's win over Miami with injuries. According to ESPN New York, HC Todd Bowles said Monday that it's too early to know what their statuses will be after the Week 5 bye. We'll check back in on all 3 after the time off. At least none sounds like a longer-term issue. If Williams misses any time, that could allow DE Sheldon Richardson to step back into the lineup, now that his 4-game suspension is done.

Jets DE Leonard Williams left Saturday night's game early with a knee injury. The fact that the team deemed him "questionable" to return tells us it's not serious. We'll see what the full diagnosis says, though. Williams faces big opportunity given DE Sheldon Richardson's uncertain situation. Richardson will already miss the 1st 4 games because of a drug suspension and might yet face further discipline thanks to a July arrest.

UPDATE: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Jets have deemed Williams' injury a bone bruise. That would seem to put him in line to play in the regular-season opener.
