Week 6 FanDuel Tournament Picks

NFL DFS Picks for Tournament and GPP Play

Quarterback

Geno Smith, Seahawks ($6,800) at Bengals

Ownership projection: 3%

Four of the six highest implied totals (Bills, Chiefs, Cowboys, Chargers) are off the main slate.

Plus, we’re looking at potentially impactful wind in Chicago and Cleveland.

So, it’s reasonable to expect lower-than-usual QB scoring on the main slate.

With that framing in mind, I’m looking to save a bit here.

Insert Smith, who’s coming off a bye to face Cincinnati. He sits a decent seventh in ceiling projection with an anticipated ownership rate of only 3%.

Smith will also get LT Charles Cross back from a multi-week absence.

Also consider: Joe Burrow

Running Back

Bijan Robinson, Falcons ($7,600) vs. Commanders

Ownership projection: 13%

Washington hasn’t surrendered big numbers to opposing RBs. But it’s worth noting that they’ve faced just 19.6 carries per game while facing a soft-to-neutral rushing schedule: Arizona, Denver, Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Chicago.

Washington sits a mid-pack 16th in rush DVOA and 31st in run-stop win rate, per ESPN.

So the evidence shows Robinson carries plenty of upside into Sunday. He’s looking for his first rushing score of the year, but we’ve seen his impressive efficiency already (5.4 yards per carry).

Chuba Hubbard, Panthers ($5,500) at Dolphins

Ownership projection: 15%

Miles Sanders was ruled out on Friday. HC Frank Reich subsequently confirmed Hubbard as Sunday's lead back – hardly a surprise, as the young RB has impressed early on.

I’m not expecting a top-10 fantasy line against Miami, especially as a massive road underdog. But there’s value in a lead back at only $5.5K.

Current projections have Hubbard for nearly 18 opportunities (carries + targets).

Also consider: Raheem Mostert, Travis Etienne, D’Andre Swift

Wide Receiver

Tyreek Hill, Dolphins ($9,800) vs. Panthers

Ownership projection: 17%

Our cost-saving options allow Hill to fit seamlessly into the budget.

The 29-year-old is stunningly on pace for the best fantasy season of his career.

Garrett Wilson, Jets ($6,900) vs. Eagles

Ownership projection: 5%

The Eagles will be without top CB Darius Slay and S Justin Evans. Their absence weakens a thin secondary that already sits 24th in Pro Football Focus coverage grade.

DT Jalen Carter won’t suit up for this one, either, easing the burden on a thin Jets O-line.

Wilson’s floor remains low because of poor QB play. But I see enough of a ceiling to take a shot here at low ownership.

Tyler Lockett, Seahawks ($6,600) at Bengals

Ownership projection: 13%

If you’re rolling with Geno Smith as your QB, consider pairing him up with Lockett.

D.K. Metcalf enters Sunday’s contest with a rib injury. There’s also a key injury on the other side that could benefit Lockett, as starting CB Chidobe Awuzie (back) is questionable.

On the year, Cincinnati sits 26th in Pro Football Focus coverage grade.

Also consider: Ja’Marr Chase, Cooper Kupp, Christian Kirk, Michael Pittman

Tight End

Dalton Schultz, Texans ($5,200) vs. Saints

Ownership projection: 8%

This matchup doesn’t look great. TEs have combined for 14 catches, 99 yards, and 1 TD in five games vs. New Orleans.

Check out the TEs they’ve faced, though (in order):

  • Chig Okonkwo
  • Hayden Hurst
  • Luke Musgrave
  • Cade Otton
  • Hunter Henry

Most importantly, Schultz is poised for volume. Tank Dell is likely out with a concussion. Robert Woods, if active, will play through a rib injury.

Mix in Nico Collins’ date with CB Marshon Lattimore, and Schultz could have a clear path to 5-7 targets. He's coming off a season-high 10 against Atlanta.

Also consider: Dallas Goedert

Defense

Falcons ($4,100) vs. Commanders

Ownership projection: 7%

Also consider: Patriots
