The Ravens have agreed to a four-year deal with Edge Trey Hendrickson. It carries a base value of $112 million, according to multiple reports, with a max of $120 million with incentives. The pact includes $60 million in guarantees, which basically positions it as a two-year deal with options beyond that. The announcement, of course, came quickly after news broke that Baltimore had backed out of the Maxx Crosby trade over medical concerns.
What They're Saying
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler: "The Colts, Bills, Bucs, Commanders and Eagles all were involved. ... The Colts felt like they were close at one point. The Eagles got involved late. Tampa pursued but on a short-term deal. Hendrickson wanted a long-term deal with a contender. Buffalo fit that mold. But Baltimore put it over the top Tuesday night."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
If you're interested in conspiracy theories about why Baltimore canned the Crosby trade, then you're in the wrong place.
Frankly, this probably should have been the move all along. The Ravens get a similarly effective -- certainly more productive -- pass rusher without giving up the draft picks.
Hendrickson has beaten Crosby in Pro Football Focus' pass-rush productivity every year since Crosby entered the league in 2019. Hendrickson finished five of those seven seasons among the top 10, including three top-5 performances -- most recently in 2024.
Crosby has been the much better run defender and rarely leaves the field.
Assuming Hendrickson shows no ill effects from the core-muscle surgery that ended his 2025 campaign early, he should remain a top sack producer into the coming season.
Hendrickson's age will present increasing risk beyond that. He turns 32 this December.
