Cardinals Select Carson Beck
The Cardinals selected Miami QB Carson Beck in Round 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft. A former four-star recruit, Beck started at Georgia in 2023 and 2024. He thrived in 2023 alongside Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey, throwing for 3,941 yards with 24 TDs and 6 INTs. His play slipped in 2024, with 12 INTs and an elbow injury that required surgery. Beck transferred to Miami for 2025 and rebounded, leading the Hurricanes to a national title appearance while posting 3,813 yards, 30 TDs, and 12 INTs. The efficiency profile is mixed. Among 15 Combine QBs, he tied for second in adjusted completion rate (79.0%) but ranked 12th in aDOT (7.6), 11th in Big Time Throw rate (3.3%), and 14th in rushing production. At 23, Beck enters the league as a polished pocket passer without much rushing upside.
What They're Saying
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said at the draft that Jacoby Brissett remains Arizona's QB1. The veteran skipped spring practices as he seeks a more lucrative contract.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
It wouldn't be a surprise to see Beck make some 2026 starts for the rebuilding Cardinals. But he's undraftable right now, even in superflex setups.
Dynasty Impact
You have to like this landing spot from a dynasty perspective.
The Cardinals supply a talented group that includes Jeremiyah Love, Trey McBride, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Michael Wilson. We'll see if the Cards can extend Wilson, who's entering a contract season.
At 33, Brissett doesn't provide much of a long-term roadblock. The biggest issue may be the potential for Arizona to add a Round 1 passer in the 2027 draft.
Beck is worth stashing in the middle rounds of superflex rookie drafts.
