This love has been expected for a while now, with Donald already having worked out for the team.
He spent 10 years playing at a hall of fame level for the team but hasn’t taken the field since 2023.
I’m not gonna question whether Donald’s in shape. I’m not sure he has ever NOT been in shape. But will he get back to his previous playing-time level?
We won’t know that answer until after the season starts. And Donald’s last two seasons combined for a mere 13 sacks.
His return’s undeniably positive for a tough-looking Rams D that also added Myles Garrett this offseason. But I’m not ready to target Donald as an IDP yet.
Don’t be surprised if he sticks to more of a part-time, passing-down role, which would limit his opportunities for stat production.
