After signing as an undrafted free agent, Brosmer started for the Vikings in Week 13 and Week 17 last season. He now won't open the season with the team that signed him.
In those two starts, Brosmer averaged under 5.0 fantasy points per game (PPG). He failed to reach 200 passing yards or throw a touchdown across the two games.
That leaves the Eagles, Falcons, and Steelers as the only teams currently carrying four quarterbacks on their 53-man rosters.
The move also reinforces the Vikings' desire to keep JJ McCarthy, despite buzz after he didn't play in the preseason finale.
