Giants Edge Brian Burns got his left ankle rolled up on in the fourth quarter of Monday night's loss to the Rams. He needed help leaving the field while keeping weight off that ankle. HC John Harbaugh called it a low-ankle sprain after the game.
What They're Saying
Burns: "It eases my mind to know it ain't nothing serious."
Harbaugh: "The fact that it's low makes me happy, too."
2026 Fantasy Football Impact: Two Guys Have Paths to More
If Burns does miss further action, Edge Kayvon Thibodeaux and/or Edge Chauncey Golston could see playing time boosts. Week 1 snap counts looked like this among New York's edge group:
- Abdul Carter 53
- Burns 49
- Golston 28
- Thibodeaux 27
Neither would be likely to match Burns' rush impact or production.
