Packers RB Kaleb Johnson led the team in carries (8) and rushing yards (42) in Sunday’s close win over Tampa Bay. Johnson didn’t draw a target, though, while he posted his second fumble as a Packer.
What They're Saying
Here’s HC Matt LaFleur after the loss (via Yahoo).
"Well, I think a great teacher is the bench," LaFleur shared. "So, if guys don't start holding onto the ball, they're going to be sitting on the bench."
Note that MarShawn Lloyd also fumbled on Sunday, although it wasn’t lost.
2026 Fantasy Football Impact
Johnson’s lost fumble came near the goal line with a chance to ice the game. So it took away from a day that turned up a 31-yard gain on a well-blocked run up the middle. Johnson took that one down to the 5-yard line, then handled the next carry but was stopped at the two.
Green Bay continued to use all three RBs. Chris Brooks mixed in for 4 carries and 30 yards, while MarShawn Lloyd managed only 13 yards on his 7 attempts.
Lloyd caught all 5 of his targets for 36 yards while leading the group in route rate (48%), well ahead of Johnson at 23%.
Ultimately, you can't trust any member of this backfield for fantasy. We'll see if the work shifts at all in a Week 5 matchup vs. Chicago.
