According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, "There are doctors around the NFL who believe it's a matter of when, not if, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels hurts his left elbow again." Daniels injured that elbow for the third time in the Week 2 loss at Dallas. He missed nine games and parts of three others last season, primarily because of that twice injured elbow.

Daniels will play today against the Giants with a (likely hefty) brace on his non-throwing elbow.
OC David Blough said this week he wouldn't be limiting the offensive plan for the QB's situation, and we've got Daniels projected in starter-worthy range in the Week 5 QB rankings.
But we obviously have to factor re-injury risk into any Daniels decisions the rest of the way. That joint has knocked him out of action three separate times since the start of last season.
We'll see whether that brace affects his play today, but the right-handed QB should be able to operate near his normal level when on the field.
Of course, we'll also see about the game-time decision on lead WR Terry McLaurin. Washington will definitely miss WR Stefon Diggs (hamstring injury).
QB Athan Kaliakmanis will back up Daniels, with a knee injury knocking Marcus Mariota out.
