New England didn't have much of a need for Thomas after adding Antonio Brown to Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon. We'll see how Thomas fits into a Jets WR corps topped by Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder and Quincy Enunwa, but we're not expecting much fantasy value. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Patriots are releasing WR Demaryius Thomas. "He's still working his way back to health," Rapoport tweets. Thomas looked fine in the 4th preseason game, so it also might just be that New England would rather keep undrafted rookie Jakobi Meyers (among others on the roster, of course). The various Patriots WR cuts leaves room for Meyers to rise to relevance as soon as this season. He's no more than an end-of-draft stash in redraft, though.
