Packers QB Aaron Rodgers exited in the 1st half of Sunday's game against the Lions to be checked for a concussion. We'll update his status when we learn more. QB DeShone Kizer is in for Green Bay.

Update: Rodgers has been diagnosed with a concussion and is done for the day. It's his 3rd documented concussion.

The Packers have traded QB Brett Hundley to the Seahawks in exchange for a 6th-round pick. Hundley struggled in relief of QB Aaron Rodgers last year but has looked better this preseason, completing 62.2% of his passes and averaging 7.1 yards per attempt. He remains an intriguing project and will now get to learn from 1 of the best mobile QBs in the game in Russell Wilson. The Packers, meanwhile, will roll with DeShone Kizer as Rodgers' backup.

The Browns have unloaded QB DeShone Kizer on the heels of dealing for Tyrod Taylor. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Cleveland has agreed to trade Kizer to the Packers for CB Damarious Randall. There might not be a better spot in the league for Kizer to spend a couple of years developing and for Green Bay to see whether he can turn into NFL starting material. Randall, meanwhile, adds talent to a Browns secondary that already seemed headed in the right direction over the past year or 2. For fantasy purposes ... there's really not much value/intrigue here.

The Browns have hired Todd Haley as their new OC. He's expected to take play-calling duties from HC Hue Jackson. Haley butted heads with QB Ben Roethlisberger but helped the Steelers to top-10 finishes in both total yards and points in each of the past 4 seasons. He wasn't as successful in previous stops in Kansas City and Arizona, posting 3 top-12 finishes in total offense but 3 others in the bottom 8. He obviously won't be working with nearly as much talent in Cleveland as he had in Pittsburgh.

Browns HC Hue Jackson said he'll stick with QB DeShone Kizer for the rest of the season. "Where we are right now, I need to continue to see him" Jackson said after Sunday's loss to the Jags. "Let's let him play. Let's let him play this thing out. As long as he's healthy, let's keep putting him out there. I want to walk away from this season knowing exactly what DeShone Kizer is top to bottom." It makes plenty of sense for the winless Browns to get some more tape on Kizer. The rookie was predictably swallowed up by the Jaguars yesterday but turned in 1 of his better performances of the season the previous week. He's still no more than a low-end QB2 for fantasy the rest of the way.

Browns QB DeShone Kizer suffered a rib injury in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's game in Detroit. He's officially questionable to return. We'll update the rookie's status when we learn more.

Update: Kizer returned in the 4th quarter.

Browns HC Hue Jackson named QB DeShone Kizer his starter for Sunday's game against the Vikings. The rookie has been benched in both of his last 2 starts and is even-money to make it through this weekend's game in London. Kizer isn't an option in any fantasy format.

Browns QB DeShone Kizer was benched after throwing his 2nd INT in Sunday's game against the Titans. He finished 12 of 20 for 114 yards and the 2 picks. QB Cody Kessler has replaced Kizer. This remains a situation to stay far away from in fantasy football.

Browns HC Hue Jackson announced on Wednesday that QB DeShone Kizer will start this weekend's game against the Titans. "Barring injury, they'll likely try to ride it out with him for the rest of the season," insider Mary Kay Cabot writes. QB Kevin Hogan was abysmal in last week's loss to the Texans, completing 54.1% of his passes with 1 garbage-time TD and 3 INTs. Kizer has looked lost so far, but the 0-6 Browns might as well see if he can progress over the rest of the season. A struggling offensive line and weak pass-catching corps are just as big of problems for Cleveland as QB play. Kizer isn't a Week 7 fantasy option.

Browns HC Hue Jackson announced Wednesday morning that QB Kevin Hogan will start this weekend's game against the Texans. QB DeShone Kizer has looked lost since an encouraging debut, completing just 47.3% of his passes with 2 TDs and 8 INTs. Hogan, meanwhile, has been solid in 3 relief appearances, posting a 68.4% completion rate with 3 TDs and 2 INTs. "We've liked what Kevin has been able to do within our offense when he's been in there and he will start on Sunday because that's what we feel is best for our team at this point in time," Jackson said. "This does not change the way we feel about DeShone going forward. He's worked extremely hard and still very much has a bright future. Right now, it's better for him and his development to back up Kevin." We're expecting to see Kizer back under center at some point this season, but he's not worth stashing in redraft leagues. Hogan is just a low-end QB2 vs. Houston this weekend.

Browns QB DeShone Kizer was benched for the 2nd half of Sunday's game against the Jets. The rookie completed just 8 of 17 1st-half passes for 87 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT. QB Kevin Hogan is in the game for Cleveland. We're guessing that the Browns will go back to Kizer next week, but he obviously can't be trusted in any fantasy lineups right now.

Browns QB DeShone Kizer exited in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game in Baltimore with migraines. His return is questionable. QB Kevin Hogan has replaced the rookie.

UPDATE: Kizer returned in the 3rd quarter.

The Browns have released QB Brock Osweiler. He supposedly made a push for the starting job in August, but this was always the most likely scenario. Osweiler will latch on elsewhere as a backup. In Cleveland, meanwhile, Cody Kessler will back up rookie DeShone Kizer.

Browns HC Hue Jackson named QB DeShone Kizer his starter on Sunday. It's been trending in this direction all August. Kizer has been Cleveland's most impressive QB this preseason, averaging 7.2 yards per attempt with 1 TD and 1 INT -- plus 44 yards and another score on the ground. The rookie will be volatile both in real life and fantasy. But his combination of big arm and rushing ability could turn him into a spot-start option at some point this season.

Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot believes QB DeShone Kizer is "likely" to be named the starter. Kizer completed just 6 of 18 passes for 93 yards, 0 TDs and 1 INT against the Bucs on Saturday night. But his receivers dropped a couple of balls. And Kizer consistently pushed the ball downfield, which is what HC Hue Jackson is looking for. "He moved the ball and made some things happen ... I felt comfortable with him," Jackson said. "I thought he managed the team well, accomplished some things and we'll keep coaching him up." The rookie will go through some growing pains this season, but his big arm and rushing ability raise his fantasy ceiling. Kizer is worth a look late in 2-QB and best-ball leagues.

Browns HC Hue Jackson announced that QB DeShone Kizer will start the 3rd preseason game against the Bucs on Saturday night. He's moved from 3rd in the pecking order in the 1st exhibition, to 2nd in game #2 and now 1st. Jackson stopped short of naming Kizer his regular-season starter, saying only he's "positioning himself well to earn the starting job." But if the rookie plays this weekend like he has in his first 2 outings, he'll be under center on September 10 against the Steelers.

Browns HC Hue Jackson announced on Wednesday that QB Brock Osweiler will start the team's 2nd preseason game on Monday night against the Giants. The veteran struggled to 6-of-14 passing in the opener, while DeShone Kizer shined. But Cleveland isn't ready to hand the keys to the rookie just yet. Jackson did add that Kizer will be the 2nd QB in the game on Monday -- a promotion from last week, when he was QB #3. It sure seems like QB Cody Kessler is out of this competition. Kizer remains a strong bet to start the most games for the Browns this season and still has a shot to win the Week 1 job.

DeShone Kizer was the 3rd Browns QB into Thursday night's preseason opener, but he was easily the most impressive. The rookie finished 11-of-18 for 184 yards, highlighted by a 45-yard TD to WR Jordan Payton. He also picked up 12 yards on 3 carries. QB Brock Osweiler got the start but completed just 6 of 14 passes for 42 yards. QB Cody Kessler was next in line, finishing 5-of-10 for 47 yards. Clearly the most talented QB in Cleveland, bet on Kizer making the most starts this season. He still has a shot to win the Week 1 nod.
