The Buccaneers have ruled LB Lavonte David (ankle) and S Antoine Winfield (concussion) out for Thursday night's game against the Eagles. That will allow S Mike Edwards to start in Winfield's place for the 2nd straight week and give LB Kevin Minter starting duty. EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) is questionable, though Wednesday's estimated injury report called him a "full" participant. JPP played through a questionable tag in Week 5 and got near his normal snap share in his return from a shoulder injury.

Buccaneers EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul and CB Jamel Dean are active for today's game against the Dolphins. JPP missed the past 2 contests with a shoulder injury but carries intriguing IDP upside into this contest.

The Buccaneers have ruled S Antoine Winfield out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins because of a concussion. With CBs Carlton Davis and Sean Murphy-Bunting already on IR, that means the Tampa Bay secondary will look quite different from its season-opening version. The Bucs will at least get CB Jamel Dean back from a knee injury that knocked him out early in Week 3 and kept him out last Sunday night. HC Bruce Arians also said EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul is ready to return from the shoulder injury that cost him the past 2 games, according to Greg Auman of The Athletic.

The Buccaneers have downgraded EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) to out for Sunday night's game against the Patriots. Joe Tryon-Shoyinka will start in his place.

ESPN's Jenna Laine reports that Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians called EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul a game-time decision for Sunday against the Patriots. Pierre-Paul missed Week 3 with a shoulder injury that then allowed him only a limited Friday practice this week. We'll watch his status, but don't count on having JPP available. The Sunday night kickoff makes it even more difficult to wait for him. The Bucs have already ruled CB Jamel Dean (knee) out for the game.

Buccaneers EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul is out for Sunday's game against the Rams. He's listed with both hand and shoulder injuries, but the shoulder is the bigger issue. We'll see how long he remains out.

Buccaneers EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul got a 2nd opinion on his injured shoulder and was told to rest it, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Although the Bucs haven't officially ruled JPP out for Week 3 yet, Rapoport adds that the veteran is "likely" to be inactive Sunday against the Rams. We'll certainly track the situation through the weekend, but make sure you plan accordingly for your IDP lineup. Anthony Nelson and rookie Joe Tryon-Shoyinka figure to each gain playing time if Pierre-Paul is out, but neither makes for a sturdy fantasy football option this week.

The Buccaneers have agreed to a 2-year, $27 million deal with EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Pierre-Paul missed the first 6 games last season because of a neck injury suffered in an offseason car accident. But he still managed 8.5 sacks in the remaining 10 contests. JPP turned 31 in January but clearly still got starter money from the Bucs.

Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians said in his Friday press conference that edge Jason Pierre-Paul could be activated for Sunday's game against the Titans. Pierre-Paul returned to practice this week for the 1st time since suffering a neck injury in an offseason car accident. Arians said doctors still need to clear JPP for game action but that he had a good week of practice. We wouldn't use an active Pierre-Paul in his 1st game back, but he's worth stashing in deeper IDP leagues.

ESPN's Jenna Laine reports that Buccaneers edge star Jason Pierre-Paul has gained doctor clearance to begin rehabbing his neck injury. That doesn't necessarily mean a return to the field is near, though. "There is no timetable for the recovery," Laine writes. "They absolutely will not rush this." Expect JPP to not be available for your IDP league this season. He's still worth holding in dynasty formats, though. And reports around the time of his car accident indicated playing late in 2019 might be within reach.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Buccaneers DE Jason Pierre-Paul suffered a neck fracture in last week's single-car accident that might cost him the 2019 season. Pierre-Paul will reportedly get further opinions this week, but he's expected to need surgery. The hope is that "a portion of this season can be saved." With JPP out, Tampa Bay would enter the year thin at DE. The Bucs might have suddenly turned into the top suitor for free-agent DE Ezekiel Ansah.

Buccaneers DE Jason Pierre-Paul (knee, shoulder) is active for today's game against the Falcons after arriving questionable. DE Carl Nassib is inactive, as expected. A shoulder injury rendered him doubtful.

Buccaneers DE Jason Pierre-Paul (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. He has played through multiple questionable tags this season, and we'd bet on him playing in the finale. DE Carl Nassib, on the other hand, is doubtful for Sunday because of a shoulder injury.

Buccaneers LB Adarius Taylor is inactive for today's game at Baltimore for personal reasons. That leaves an already depleted Bucs LB corps even thinner. Tampa will, at least, have DE Jason Pierre-Paul. He's active despite another questionable tag and is OK for normal IDP usage. S Isaiah Johnson (concussion) is also active after hitting the weekend questionable. He'll start in place of Justin Evans.

The Buccaneers have ruled S Justin Evans (toe) out for the 2nd straight game. S Isaiah Johnson (concussion) would fill in, if he can play. He's questionable, though, after missing Week 14. Johnson progressed from missing practice Wednesday to limited Thursday and then a full Friday workout. DE Jason Pierre-Paul (knee, hip) is also questionable but has been playing through questionable tags for weeks. LB Adarius Taylor is also suddenly questionable for the game. He has a personal matter that may draw him away from the game. Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times tweeted Friday that it is "likely related" to the impending birth of Taylor's child (though he oddly did so without confirmation). We'll check on the status of all these questionable players Sunday morning.

Buccaneers DE Jason Pierre-Paul (knee) is active for today's game against the Saints. He put in just a limited practice Friday and carries some extra risk into an already low-floor matchup. Consider other options for your IDP lineup today.

The Buccaneers have ruled S Justin Evans (toe) out for Sunday's game against the Saints. DE Jason Pierre-Paul (knee) is questionable. He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday before returning to a limited Friday workout. That marked a downgrade from his participation level last week with the same injury. We'll check JPP's status Sunday morning. The issue plus the poor sack matchup with New Orleans make him much more of a "sit" candidate than usual.

Buccaneers DE Jason Pierre-Paul (knee) is active for today's game against the Eagles. He began the practice week sidelined but returned to practice Thursday and Friday. He appears fine for normal IDP use.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Buccaneers consider DE Jason Pierre-Paul's knee injury to be minor. That suggests JPP should be able to play through his "questionable" tag against the Eagles today. We'll confirm his status when early-game inactives come out, but plan to use Pierre-Paul as you normally would in IDP leagues.
