Chargers CB J.C. Jackson ruptured the patellar tendon in his right knee in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks and will miss the rest of the season. We'll see about his status as the 2023 season approaches. Jackson had been performing disappointingly early in the year, so his departure from the lineup doesn't meaningfully alter the fantasy football matchup going forward.

The Chargers pulled CB J.C. Jackson in the 2nd half of Monday night's OT win over the Broncos, opting for Michael Davis in his place. "It just wasn't good enough in the first half, and we felt like we needed to make a change," HC Brandon Staley said afterward, according to Chargers Wire. Jackson committed a 21-yard PI penalty on Courtland Sutton in the 1st quarter and later played a key role in TE Greg Dulcich getting open for his TD catch. We'll see about the team's plan at that corner spot for a Week 7 date with Seattle.

Chargers CB J.C. Jackson had ankle surgery Tuesday and is expected to miss the next 2-4 weeks, according to multiple reports. Sounds like a relatively minor procedure, but this timeline obviously could spill over into missed regular-season games.

The Chargers have agreed to a 5-year, $82.5 million deal with CB J.C. Jackson, with $40 million of that guaranteed in the 1st 2 years, according to multiple reports. Arguably the top corner on the market, Jackson joins a Chargers defense that had already acquired EDGE Khalil Mack from the Bears this month. Jackson has grabbed 17 INTs over the past 2 seasons and 25 in his 4 years since arriving as an undrafted free agent. Both numbers lead the league over their respective spans.

Patriots S Kyle Dugger (hamstring), S Adrian Phillips (knee, illness) and CB J.C. Jackson (elbow) are active for today's game against the Jaguars. All arrived questionable but should be ready for IDP use at their appropriate levels.

Patriots S Adrian Phillips (knee, illness) and CB J.C. Jackson (elbow) are questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Patriots DE Lawrence Guy, S Devin McCourty, LB Ja'Whaun Bentley, DT Adam Butler and CB J.C. Jackson are all active for today's finale against the Jets after entering the day questionable.

Patriots LB Ja'Whaun Bentley (shoulder) and DE Lawrence Guy (shoulder) are inactive for tonight's game against the Bills. Questionable defenders CB Jonathan Jones (neck), CB J.C. Jackson (knee), DE John Simon (hamstring) and DT Adam Butler (shoulder) are active.

Patriots DE Lawrence Guy, DT Adam Butler, CB J.C. Jackson and CB Jonathan Jones are all active vs. Miami after entering the day questionable. None is a strong IDP option, but all are available in case you play in a deep league.

Patriots DE Shilique Calhoun, CB J.C. Jackson, DE John Simon and DE Deatrich Wise are active for tonight's game against the Jets. New England previously downgraded CB Stephon Gilmore, DE Lawrence Guy and LB Ja'Whaun Bentley to out for the game.

The Patriots list a bunch of defensive players as questionable for Monday night's game against the Jets. That includes DE Lawrence Guy (shoulder, elbow, knee), CB Stephon Gilmore (knee), DE Shilique Calhoun (knee), LB Ja'Whaun Bentley (groin), DE Deatrich Wise (knee, hand), CB J.C. Jackson (knee) and DE John Simon (elbow). None of those guys is a high-level IDP option, so they're likely not worth waiting on in setting your fantasy lineup. But we'll see who's in and who's out Monday evening.

Patriots DE John Simon (shoulder) and CB J.C. Jackson (knee) are active for today's game against the Bills. Each entered the day questionable but presents some upside in deep IDP formats.

Patriots CBs Stephon Gilmore and J.C. Jackson are both questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills after suffering knee injuries during the practice week. Gilmore's injury happened Thursday. An MRI came back negative, but he sat out Friday's practice. Jackson left Friday's workout early with his ailment after not showing up on the injury report the previous 2 days. Missing either or both would obviously hurt an already struggling defense and improve the matchup for Buffalo WRs Stefon Diggs and/or John Brown -- as well as QB Josh Allen. DE John Simon is also questionable with a shoulder issue that limited him in practice all week.
