The Texans have placed EDGE Jonathan Greenard on IR with the calf injury he suffered in practice this week. He had already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders. This means he'll miss at least the following 3 games as well. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Greenard is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. His absence should mean more playing time for veteran Mario Addison; perhaps starter Rasheem Green as well. Green's weekly snap shares have gone: 54%, 57%, 53% and 61%.
The Bills have made CB Tre'Davious White, DE Jerry Hughes and DE Mario Addison healthy scratches vs. the Dolphins today. That points to the team planning to rest starters in general over playing for the win. Keep that in mind if you've been planning to start QB Josh Allen or WR Stefon Diggs in a season-long lineup.
ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques reports that the Bills have agreed to a 3-year deal with DE Mario Addison. The former Panther will turn 33 at the start of the coming season, but he delivered 9+ sacks each of the past 4 years. He joins a D-line that let Shaq Lawson walk for Miami without much edge-rushing firepower remaining. Carolina, meanwhile, has 2019 rookie Brian Burns ready to seek a larger role in Year 2. Burns' playing time tapered off as his debut season wore on.
Panthers S Eric Reid and DE Mario Addison (chest) are active for today's game against the Seahawks. He was a late addition to the injury report because of an illness but looks good to go for IDP lineups. Addison should start in most cases as well.
Panthers EDGE Mario Addison (chest) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday but returned for to limited participation Friday. We'll check Addison's status Sunday morning.
Panthers EDGE Mario Addison missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with a chest injury. We'll see about his Friday participation and game status. Brian Burns would likely see starter-level playing time if Addison can't play in the upside matchup with the Seahawks.
Panthers EDGE Mario Addison (groin) is active for today's game against the Falcons. Play him for a high-ceiling sack matchup in your IDP lineups.
Panthers DE Mario Addison popped up on the injury report Friday as a limited practice participant with a groin injury. He's questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. We haven't seen anything else on the injury yet, so we'll look for more on Addison's outlook through the weekend.
Panters DE/OLB Mario Addison is inactive for today's game against the Titans. Addison has been away from the team dealing with the shooting death of his younger brother. His absence likely means more playing time for Brian Burns, who has seen his snaps decrease in recent weeks.
Panthers DE Mario Addison is questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans. He has been away from the team this week following the shooting death of his younger brother. We'll see about Addison's status over the weekend.
Panthers DE Mario Addison saw his playing time limited by a back injury in Sunday's win over the Eagles. He managed to play just 27% of the snaps, compared with a 68% share over the 1st 5 games. Addison eventually left for good in the 4th quarter. We'll keep an eye on his status heading into a Week 8 meeting with the Ravens.
Panthers DE Mario Addison (hip) is active for today's game against the Buccaneers. He put in just a limited practice Friday after sitting out the previous 2 days, but his playing time didn't suffer last week, when the injury occurred. Addison will be worth using in an upside matchup in most cases.
Panthers DE Mario Addison is questionable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers with a hip injury. Addison missed practice Wednesday and Thursday before putting in a limited workout Friday. We'll check on his status Sunday morning. Carolina, of course, will definitely go without OLB Thomas Davis, who was suspended 1 game for an illegal hit that left Packers WR Davante Adams concussed.
The Panthers will have DE Mario Addison (foot), S Kurt Coleman (concussion) and CB Daryl Worley (concussion) in the lineup against the Chargers. All 3 are active after entering the day questionable. Addison remains a risky start and is a boom/bust IDP candidate anyway. Coleman and Worley are top fantasy options among DBs for the week.
The Panthers have ruled DE Charles Johnson out for Sunday's game against the Chargers with a hamstring injury. MLB Luke Kuechly, CB Daryl Worley and S Kurt Coleman are all officially questionable, though each is expected to play barring a setback in their recoveries from concussions. DE Mario Addison (foot) is also questionable. He put in a full practice Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday. We'll check on his status Sunday and keep tabs on the concussion crew through the weekend.
The Panthers have ruled MLB Luke Kuechly (concussion), S Kurt Coleman (concussion) and DE Mario Addison (foot) out for Sunday night's game at Seattle. That will mean another start for A.J. Klein in Kuechly's place. It should also mean more playing time for DE Kony Ealy, who played his most snaps last Sunday since Week 6. Michael Griffin has worked in as the 3rd safety and figures to take Coleman's spot. Only Klein's worth any IDP attention in most leagues, though Seattle presents some sack upside for Ealy. He has registered a QB hit in 3 straight games, including a pair of sacks.
