The Texans have ruled Edge Jonathan Greenard (ankle) out for Saturday's game against the Colts. Edge Will Anderson Jr. (ankle) is questionable for the second straight week. He followed the same practice schedule as Week 17, sitting out the first two days before returning to a limited workout. Anderson played through the questionable tag for normal duty and good production last week. You can find him in a usable range in our Week 18 DL rankings.

Texans Edge Will Anderson Jr. (ankle) and Edge Jonathan Greenard (ankle) missed practice Tuesday and Wednesday, ahead of Saturday's game against the Colts. Anderson missed the first two practices last week but then played and produced in the win over the Titans. We'd bet he'll be ready for Week 18. Greenard missed last week. We'll see what the week's final injury report (Thursday afternoon) says for each player.

The Texans have ruled out Edge Jonathan Greenard (ankle) for Sunday's game against the Titans -- and they might miss as many as three other D-line starters. Edge Will Anderson Jr. (ankle), DT Maliek Collins (hip), and DT Sheldon Rankins (ankle) are questionable. Anderson missed the past two games with the injury and managed just a limited Friday practice this week. He doesn't look like a good bet for IDP lineups even if active. Rankins also put in just a single limited workout, while Collins missed the whole week. At the least, this D-line will be well below full strength. That can only help the matchup for Titans RB Derrick Henry. He posted a terrible 10 total yards on 20 touches in the teams' Week 15 meeting, but Anderson was the only of those four D-linemen injured for that contest. Henry looks like an RB2 with upside across formats this week.

Texans Edge Jonathan Greenard has missed the first two practices of the week after spraining an ankle in Sunday's loss to the Browns. That has him looking unlikely to play this week against the Titans. We'll watch for confirmation on his status Friday but have removed Greenard from the Week 17 rankings. Houston looks likely to also miss rookie edge Will Anderson Jr. for the third straight game. Anderson also has yet to practice this week while nursing his own ankle injury.

The Texans on Wednesday designated EDGE Jonathan Greenard (calf) to return from IR. It was his 1st practice since he suffered a calf tear nearly 2 months ago. HC Lovie Smith said he didn't know how soon Greenard would be ready for game action but told the team website, "We'll find a way to get him into the mix once he's ready to go." We wouldn't be surprised to see a limited role initially for Greenard. He's worth keeping an eye on for deeper IDP formats but doesn't pop as a "must" add on waiver wires.

The Texans have placed EDGE Jonathan Greenard on IR with the calf injury he suffered in practice this week. He had already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders. This means he'll miss at least the following 3 games as well. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Greenard is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. His absence should mean more playing time for veteran Mario Addison; perhaps starter Rasheem Green as well. Green's weekly snap shares have gone: 54%, 57%, 53% and 61%.

The Texans have ruled EDGE Jonathan Greenard (calf) out for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Texans S Justin Reid came away from Sunday's loss to the 49ers with "slight" ankle and knee injuries, according to Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 in Houston. DE Jonathan Greenard also left the game with a shoulder injury. We'll see about the status for each player this week.

The Texans have placed DE Jonathan Greenard on the COVID list following a positive test. We'll see whether he has a shot to return for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Texans DE Jonathan Greenard (foot) is active for today's game against the Seahawks. He's been playing through the foot issue for weeks and will be tough to sit in an upside sack matchup with Seattle.

Texans DE Jonathan Greenard is questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks with a foot injury that has lingered for weeks. Greenard saw his playing time dip last week to its lowest snap share since Week 5. Then his practice participation declined. Greenard went from 3 limited workouts last week to sandwiching a missed Thursday practice between 2 limited appearances this week. Even if he's active vs. Seattle, it's clear he's dealing with a limiting injury. We'll update his status Sunday morning.

Texans DE Jonathan Greenard (foot) is active for today's game against the Colts. He played through a questionable tag last week and should be in most IDP lineups. Houston made LB Zach Cunningham a healthy scratch, with Christian Kirksey back off IR. That clearly points to Kirksey regaining a full-time spot next to Kamu Grugier-Hill.
