MarShawn Lloyd Is Healthy! (For Now)

Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd has appeared in just one regular-season game since Green Bay took him in Round 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft. Hamstring, ankle, groin, and calf injuries, plus an appendectomy, have kept him off the field. But RBs coach Ben Sirmans said this week that Lloyd is healthy now, and the team is optimistic he'll contribute in 2026.

Packers RB Emanuel Wilson has been downgraded to questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Broncos with an illness. RB Josh Jacobs is already questionable with his knee issue. We don't expect the illness to keep Wilson from playing tomorrow, but the Packers elevated RB Pierre Strong from the practice squad as insurance. Strong joins Wilson, Jacobs, and Chris Brooks on the active roster. We'll keep you updated on this backfield leading up to 4:25 pm ET kickoff tomorrow.

The Packers consider RB Josh Jacobs (calf, illness) a "true game-time decision" for Sunday's meeting with the Cardinals, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It's presumably the calf that has Jacobs iffy for this one. That issue was added to the injury report on Friday, although Jacobs was a full participant in practice that day. We'll surely get more updates on Jacobs between now and the 1 pm ET kickoffs on Sunday. (We won't get Green Bay's inactives until a little before 3 pm ET.) Schefter also confirms that RB Emanuel Wilson would be the expected starter if Jacobs can't go. We'd also see RB Chris Brooks mix in, particularly on passing downs. And the Packers elevated RB Pierre Strong from the practice squad on Saturday. Wilson would likely settle in as a mid to high-end RB3 in the Week 7 rankings if Jacobs misses.

The Browns started RB Dylan Sampson with the first-team offense in Saturday's preseason finale against the Rams. Jerome Ford rotated with him, though, edging Sampson by one snap, one route, and one target while matching Sampson's two carries, according to Pro Football Focus. Pierre Strong and Ahmani Marshall each took the field as well before QB Joe Flacco left but worked behind the first two. Strong logged just two of his five carries before the starters left, and none of the RBs stood out statistically.

Browns GM Andrew Berry called RB Quinshon Judkins a "bellcow" and a "very versatile" back on Friday night. Cleveland made Judkins the third RB off the board, selecting him 36th overall.

        1. 1 Josh Jacobs GB RB
        2. 2 Christopher Brooks GB RB
