With the rush of free agency behind us, we’ve made some fresh updates to our Dynasty Rankings. This isn’t an exhaustive list of movers -- they’re all marked with “up” or “down” arrows on the rankings -- but here’s a look at the more significant risers and fallers.
Sam Bradford, QB, Eagles
Injury prone and playing for a moribund offense, Bradford was in danger of falling off the dynasty radar. The move to Philadelphia has breathed life back into his outlook.
HC Chip Kelly’s offense has consistently produced QB1 numbers over the past 2 seasons. Michael Vick ranked 4th at the position through the first 4 weeks of 2013. Nick Foles’ 10 starts that year produced the 3rd-best fantasy scoring average among QBs. Foles and Mark Sanchez combined for 337 fantasy points in 2014, which would have ranked 8th.
Bradford is no stud, but he’s at least on the level of Kelly’s previous QBs. That gives him QB1 potential in this offense.
Now, durability questions remain for Bradford. And he’s only signed in Philly through the end of this season. That’s why he doesn’t sit in QB1 territory in our Dynasty Rankings. But he’s about 15 spots higher than he was with the Rams.
Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons
The Falcons brass has been talking up Freeman all offseason. Their actions speak even louder than their words.
Over the past few months, Atlanta has released Steven Jackson and allowed Jacquizz Rodgers to hit free agency. They have yet to even sniff around any of the free-agent RBs. The Falcons could still add to the backfield in the draft. But for now, it looks like Freeman is set to play a significant role going forward.
