Bills TE Dalton Kincaid caught all four of his targets for 48 yards and a TD. It was a solid fantasy outing, but he played fewer snaps than Dawson Knox. Kincaid was on the field for 49.4% of snaps compared with Knox’s 57.6%. He flashed his receiving ability, but managers should be cautious before trusting him as a weekly starter.
Kincaid did run 32 routes to Knox’s 24, though the snap split looked similar to last year’s rotation. Rookie Jackson Hawes also logged 16 snaps as a blocker, pushing Kincaid to the bench in some run situations.
The Bills played from behind for most of the game, which led to Josh Allen’s 46 attempts, well above his 28.4 average in 2024. When Buffalo is ahead, Kincaid’s role could shrink. It is worth monitoring over the next few games to see if Kincaid's snap count and opportunities begin to rise.
The talent is there for weekly impact, but Kincaid needs more playing time to ascend into TE1 range. He has favorable matchups the next two weeks against the Jets and Dolphins, though both could lean more toward run scripts if the Bills get up early. The Bills' defensive struggles against the Ravens though could remain in these match-ups.
