Charvarius Ward Lands in Concussion Protocol for Third Time

Colts HC Shane Steichen revealed Monday that CB Charvarius Ward sustained a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder. That marks the third time this season that Ward has landed in the concussion protocol.

That's obviously a pretty worrisome development for Ward. And his last concussion landed him on IR and cost him five games. (Ward suffered the injury in pregame warmups for Week 6.)

The latest injury has a chance to keep him out for the rest of the regular season. We'll see whether Ward hits IR again, though.

Whatever time he misses could leave Indy down it's top two corners. Sauce Gardner is dealing with a calf injury that cost him Week 14.
